PGA Tour Year-End Column:
As the sound of Tiger’s powerful swing pierces our ears, we all watch in wonder. As Tiger Woods
gracefully hits the ball out of the sand bunker onto the smooth green, we stare in amazement. As Tiger
Woods makes a long, 11-foot putt seem like a six-inch putt, we roar. And as Tiger Woods finds a way to
win any tournament, whether it be shooting PGA-tour-record 24-under-par through two rounds or
making the clutchest putt in golf history after choking a large lead, over 550 million pairs of eyes are
drawn.
Tiger Woods has had the greatest year in golf history, winning four tournaments in five tries – all in
astounding fashion. Okay, he won one by seven strokes; lucky, I guess. Wow, he won one by a game-
