_______

The Capstone is a unique and demanding challenge. In completing it, what did you learn
about your subject? Your skill set? Yourself?

During the capstone project, I learnt more about myself and the skills I needed to improve. My
capstone project is about drawing and making a short strip comic that I can post online and share
information and facts or stories about different MBTIs. Throughout the project, I came to realize
that I really enjoy drawing even though I am not the best at it. I also learned; I enjoy sharing my
art to others and encourage others to do what they love. However, I also realized that I had a fear
of showing other people my art because I am not good at art at all.

How is your project relevant to you, the school or the community-at-large?

My project is relevant to me because I have always loved art, both drawing and looking at art
works. Since young, I was afraid of showing my art, but I started coming over the fear thanks to
capstone. I also like short and cute comic strips on Instagram that I can read fast and swipe fast
anywhere.

What impact if any did your Capstone project have on yourself, the community, society?

The impact my capstone project had on me is starting to overcome my fear of sharing my own
drawing. Through this project, I decided to work more on my artwork so I can show people my
drawing more confidently. Putting this project together made me notice how much I love
drawing and how passionate I was in art. This project also gave me motivation to draw more
often and work on my art skills. I have so develop a small hope that I can work on art even after
graduating high school and university.
Thinking about the whole process and your finished product, what are you most proud of?

I am most proud of my research document. I am proud of my research because I spend so much

time researching and adding information. I also add information I need instead of adding any
kind of information that is on the internet. During the research, I have also went between many
websites to get the most useful information and information I can put on comic strips without
giving the readers too much information at once. Researching the facts also took a lot of time

What was a difficulty you encountered and how did you solve the problem?

One of the challenges I have encountered is not having enough ideas for my comic strips. At first
I knew what I wanted to work on like facts about animals and MBTI. However, as I start
drawing and made 2 comic strip, I wasn't sure on what I want to make my comic about. I spent a
lot of time brainstorming on different ideas and stories but couldn't decide on one. With the help
of my mentor, I decided for the last comic I want to make a comic strip more about myself. So I
finally decided on making my last comic on my very own MBTI.

What is one thing about your finished project you wish you could change? Why?

One thing I would like to change about my finished project is having more pictures on each of
the strip so I can effectively show more of my art and more information on each of the topics.
There were many more information I wanted to share and wanted to show more of my art style
and art work. So I would have had more strips in each comics to show more of my skills for art
and writing.

What advice would you give to a student who will be completing their Capstone Project next
year?

One advise I would give to a student who will be completing their capstone project next year is
chose your project about something you're interested in and when making proposal , have a lot
of details. If you don't work on something you’re interested in will make you feel bored faster
and not want to work on capstone when you already don’t want to do it. Also have a lot details
on your proposal and planning because you would have to go back and look at it when you're
unsure of what to do next. Proposal and mind map will be a helpful tool to help you out
throughout the whole project.

What specific source from your research helped you the most? (or least?)
The one source that really helped me is ‘ The Taming of the cat’ from Driscoll, Carlos A at
Jstore. This store helped me a lot because it give specific information on cats which was the first
topic of my capstone comic strip. This source helped me to get more information faster and is
also from a trusted cite. This specific source helped me to start my capstone project.

What is one thing about your approach to your project that you wish you could change? Why?

One thing I would want to change in my approach to my project is thinking drawing comics is
easy and I would make 10 comic strips in one and a half month which is impossible now I think
of it. I thought since it's a short comic strip it would be easy to draw and research. However, as I
started I realized it was really hard to gather all the information I specifically want and also
hard to draw every little detail especially since I am not that skilled in drawing. I though I could
at least draw 5 comic strips which I couldn't due to lack of ideas on what to draw. For MBTIs I
had to make stories from them with knowing all of the personalities for each one which was
really hard. For animals, it was hard to gather information that normal people wouldn't know
and information that peeked my interest to share it on my account page.
