sufficient for registration as clinical technologist by the Health professions council.
Handson repair & technical trouble shooting of medical devices using manufacturer
recommended procedure as well as technical knowledge.
I am registered member of the Pakistan engineering council.
Responsibilities
Effectively plan monthly Preventive maintenance schedule to complete the target.
Possess good IT & networking skills which are required to troubleshoot the device
connectivity with related to systems such as (EMR, PACS & LIS). further i have practical
experience in deploying the Realtime location tracking system of medical devices.
Prepare technical specification & evaluation of tenders of medical equipment for new
purchase. Creating model specific preventive maintenance checklist perform preventive
maintenance & corrective maintenance of medical devices as per manufacturer
recommended checklist and meeting the KPI set by department i.e., 95% completion rate.
In addition, i monitor contractors/outsource staff for the warranty and contract equipment.
responsible for providing technical assistance training to the clinical end-user.
Skills
During the pandemic period i was one of the two engineers who were selected to handle
all the disaster management program for the hospital supporting in maximum uptime of
critical life saving devices.
I have experience in team management as well as team working during my tenure from
2017-2019 i was managing the team of 15 engineers over 3 regions under my supervision.
Further to this i was member of management team for plan of rolling out satellite
laboratories/blood centres across different cities.
In this period i was handling designing, planning & commissioning of centres in
coordination with Human resource team , IT team , Administration & Clinical team.
I keep my self up to date by attending seminars, technical training and workshops
arranged by manufacturer with certification. these learning helps me to identify and
troubleshoot the devices effectively and efficiently.
I also involve myself in training of medical graduates and internees coming to our
workshop for training. I personally explain the concept of clinical engineering application in
real life and gives them basic idea for troubleshooting approaches.
I am also part of On call duty for my department which involves any emergency calls
attending on call rota basis.
I am also part of facility tour committee of the hospital which performs monthly rounds to
identify problems and effectively find solution.
Daily routines include visit to my department in charges and discuss about any ongoing
issues related to medical equipment and training requirement. I also provide or arrange
training from the application specialist from the vendor for the optimal utilization of the
device.
I have passion of photography and i do it over weekends to keep my self relaxed and
maintain work life balance.
This hobby taught me time management skills as well as planning.
I have Valid UAE driving licence for over 13 years which is convertible in UK as per DVLA.
