Pattern Notes:
Following Color Charts: When following a color chart, each square represents one sc. Work
all odd numbered rows by following the chart from right to left and work all even numbered rows
by following the chart from left to right. Ch 1, turn at the end of each row.

Changing Colors: To change colors: when completing the stitch prior to the start of a new
color, complete the stitch through until the last yo (yarn over). On the last yo, pick up new color,
yo and pull through loops to complete stitch. You now have the new color on the hook and are
ready to continue stitching.

Using Row Count Instructions: To use row counts, the number of stitches are followed by the
color abbreviation. For example: Row 7 reads 2Y, 25W, 2Y. This means with yellow, sc in the
first 2 stitches, change to white and sc in next 25 stitches, change to yellow and sc in last 2 sts.

Potholder Front:

that joining will be covered by ring at top), ch 1,sc in same st, then sc in each stitch around, with
3 sc stitches in each corner. End off, weave in ends.

Ring at top:
With hot blue, join with sl st around plastic ring, ch 1, sc around ring until ring is covered (16 -18
sc). Join with sl st to beg sc, end off, leaving long tail for sewing. Sew ring to top center of
potholder.
