Massage to a creator
Dear fellow crochet lover,

First of all, thank you for purchasing my pattern and I hope that you will enjoy recreating him
as much as I loved designing him for you! This pattern is for personal use only. It is prohibited to copy,
translate or distribute, re-selling the pattern and the contents of this document in any way. You can
SELL THE TOY made from this pattern.

Note: The height of finished toy is about 23 cm (8.9 inches). You can use the same pattern
to make smaller or larger toy by using finer or bulkier yarn.
 Crochet the toy with tight stitches.

 Each round is worked in a continuous spiral. Do not join rounds with slip stitch or turn
unless started otherwise. Use a stitch marker or a piece of yarn to mark the ending of
the round. It is highly recommended that you read through the pattern before
beginning to crochet.
Skill level: easy
Basic crochet skills required.

Materials:
- Yarn YarnArt Jeans COTTON 55% POLYESTER 45%. Weight: 50 grams. Length: 160
meters. Colors: beige (05), light green (69), yellow (67), white (62), some red and black yarn for
ladybug, some acrylic pink yarn for hair
- 2.0 mm crochet hook
- Fiberfill
- Sewing needle and scissors
- Cardboard (for gnome foundation)
- Bamboo pick for stuffing
- Stitch markers and some pins
- Wire
- Hot or fabric glue

Abbreviations:
ch = chain
st = stitch
sc = single crochet
inc = increase (2 sc in one st)
dec = decrease (2 sc together)
sl st = slip stich
dc = double crochet
hdc = half double crochet
trc = triple crochet
BlO = back loop only
FLO = front loop only
(..) = repeat the space in brackets the given number of times
(12) = total number of stitches at the end of round/row

Instructions:
Body
Start light green yarn
Round 1: 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
Round 2: inc 6 times (12)
Round 3: (sc in next st, inc) repeat 6 times (18)
Round 4: (sc in next 2 st, inc) repeat 6 times (24)
Round 5: (sc in next 3 st, inc) repeat 6 times (30)
Round 6: (sc in next 4 st, inc) repeat 6 times (36)
Round 7: (sc in next 5 st, inc) repeat 6 times (42)
Round 8: (sc in next 6 st, inc) repeat 6 times (48)
Change white yarn
Round 9: BLO sc in all 48 st (48)
Round 10-15: sc in all 48 st (48)
Change light green
Round 16: sc in all 48 st (48)

Change white yarn

Change light green

Take a cardboard and cut it, put into the body (it will help the gnome to stand) and start
stuffing.

Stuff the body (use bamboo pick)
Round 38: (sc in next 2 st, dec) repeat 6 times (18)

Cut and hide the tails.

Skirt
Join a new light green yarn on 17th row of the body.
Round 1: ch 1, 3 dc in each st (144)

Arms (make 2)
Start beige yarn

Cut and leave a tail for sewing.

Nose
Start with beige yarn

Stuff the nose
Round 7: (sc in next st, dec) repeat 6 times (12)
Cut and leave a long tail for sewing on the body.

Hair
Use acrylic floss (you can also use chuncky wool or acrylic yarn for bread) cut nearly 3-4 inches
and attach on 2nd-3rd and 7th-8th stitches on the last row of the nose. Brush them and cut if you need.
Attach pink acrylic yarn like on photo OR sew chunky wool or acrylic yarn and brush. Make
pigtails.

Start with white yarn

Round 2-9: sc in all 6 st (6)
Round 10: (sc in next st, inc) repeat 3 times (9)
Round 11-12: sc in all 9 st (9)

Round 17: (sc in next st, inc) repeat 6 times (18)

Make Crab Stitch1, cut and hide the tail.

It's also known as reverse single crochet because each stitch is the same as a single crochet stitch,
but you work in the opposite direction. If you're right-handed, crab stitch goes from left to right, instead
of right to left as with standard crochet.

Petals (make 11)
Start with white yarn
Round 1: 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
Round 2: inc 6 times (12)
Round 3: (sc in next st, inc) repeat 6 times (18)
Round 4: (sc in next 2 st, inc) repeat 6 times (24)
Round 5-12: sc in all 24 st (24)
Round 13: (sc in all 2 st, dec) repeat 6 times (18)

Cut and leave a tail. Sew 2 sides together.
Sew all petals on 50th row. Sew them as tight as you can.
Put a piece of wire on the top of the hat and stuff firmly.

Ladybug
Start with black yarn
Round 1: 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
Fasten off and hide the tails.

Start with red yarn


Round 1: 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
Round 2: inc 6 times (12)
Fasten off and hide the tails.
Make black dots and glue on the hat.

1. Attach hair with nose between 30th-34th rounds of the body.


2. Attach arms on 33rd-34th rounds of the body on 2 sides.
3. Attach hat onto the body and nose.
