Amigurumi Alien

Abbreviations: Materials Used:

mc – magic circle Worsted Weight Yarn in green and black

sc – single crochet Size 4 hook

inc – increase

dec – decrease

First Leg: Second Leg:

R1: 6sc into a mc [6] R1: 6sc into a mc [6]

R2-5: sc in each stitch [6] R2-5: sc in each stitch [6]

Fasten off and start second leg Join to 1st leg with a single crochet

Working legs together now:


R6: sc around both legs [12] (be careful to make the stitch count come out correctly)

R7-9: sc in each stitch [12]

(Begin stuffing and stuff as you go)

R10: (4sc, dec) x2 [10]

R11: (3sc, dec) x2 [8]

R12: (2sc, dec) x2 [6]

R13: inc x6 [12]

R14: (5sc, inc) x2 [14]

R15: (6sc, inc) x2 [16]

R16: (3sc, inc) x4 [20]

R17: (4sc, inc) x4 [24]

R18: (5sc, inc) x4 [28]

R19-21: sc in each stitch [28]

R22: (5sc, dec) x4 [24]


R23: (4sc, dec) x4 [20]

R24: (sc, dec) x6, dec [13]

R25: dec x6, sc [7] – Finish stuffing and finish off; hide yarn tail

Arms (make two):

R1: 6sc into a mc [6]

Finish off leaving a long tail.

Sew to the body between rows 10-11.

Eyes (make two – use size 3mm hook):

Chain 6

4sc (starting in second chain from the hook), increase in last chain

3sc (working back up the other side of chain), slip stitch and finish off leaving a long tail for
sewing. I recommend using pins to secure eyes before sewing them to the head. My eyes are
placed at a slight angle between rows 17-21, but I just sort of “eyeball” it.

My daughter added a length of yarn to her little alien so that she could hang him from her
rearview mirror.
