Basic information
Materials and Tools: Stitches & Abbreviations:
yellow, black and white colours yarn; ch – chain
crochet hook; sl st - slip stitch
needle with the round end; sc - single crochet
scissors; dc – double crochet
stuf ng. hdc – half double crochet
sc2tog - two stitches crochet together
You can use any kind of yarn of the appropriate color. Light weight yarn st - stitch
will give you the small size nished item, heavy weight – the bigger one. rnd – round
The crochet hook size will depends on the yarn you choose. Crocheting
should be very tight to avoid gaps between stitches. It is important for
the further stuf ng (you should not see the lling through).

‘Jake’ is worked in rounds by single crochet, without turning chains. All


stitches are worked in the front and back loop together, unless indicated
otherwise.
The loop on the hook doesn't count as a stitch.

Materials used in this pattern:


Begonia YarnArt (100% cotton, 169m/50g) – black, white colours;
Diva Alize (100% micro ber, 350m/100g) - yellow colour;
crochet hook size 1.4 mm;
needle with the round end;
ber ll.

The nal sample size is about 12 cm (4,7 inches).

Body
Start with ‘Magic Ring’ in colour yellow. Crochet 6 sc into ring. Continue
to work in rounds by single crochet in the front and back loop together.

Rnd 1: *2 sc in st* 6 times (=12 sts.)


Rnd 2: *2 sc in st, sc in next st* 6 times (= 18 sts)
Rnd 3: *2 sc in st, sc in 2 next sts* 6 times (= 24 sts)
Rnd 4: *2 sc in st, sc in 3 next sts* 6 times (= 30 sts)
Rnd 5: *2 sc in st, sc in 4 next sts* 6 times (= 36 sts)
Rnd 6: *2 sc in st, sc in 5 next sts* 6 times (= 42 sts)
Rnd 7-24: sc around (=42 sts)
Rnd 25: *sc2tog, sc in next 5 sts* 6 times (= 36 sts)
Rnd 26: *sc2tog, sc in next 4 sts* 6 times (= 30 sts)
Rnd 27: *sc2tog, sc in next 3 sts* 6 times (= 24 sts)
Rnd 28: *sc2tog, sc in next 2 sts* 6 times (= 18 sts)
Rnd 29: *sc2tog, sc in next st* 6 times (= 12 sts)
Stuff.
Rnd 30: *sc2tog* 6 times (= 6 sts).

Cut yarn. Thread yarn needle with the end and weave through
remaining stitches, draw up rmly. Fasten securely.

Paw (4 details)
Start with ‘Magic Ring’ in colour yellow. Crochet 6 sc into ring. Continue
to work in rounds by single crochet in the front and back loop together.

Rnd 1: *2 sc in st, sc in 2 next sts* 2 times (= 8 sts)


Rnd 2-15: sc around (= 8 sts)
Insert some ller (optional).
Cut yarn, leaving a 15 cm end.

Start with ‘Magic Ring’ in colour yellow. Crochet 6 sc into ring. Continue

Rnd 2-5: sc around (= 9 sts)
Rnd 6: sc around, 5th and 6th stitches crochet together (= 8 sts)
Rnd 7: sc around, 4th and 5th stitches crochet together (= 7 sts)
Rnd 8-11: sc around (= 7 sts)
Rnd 12: sc around, 2 sc in 4th st (= 8 sts)
Rnd 13: sc around, 2 sc in 5th st (= 9 sts)
Rnd 14-17: sc around (= 9 sts)
Insert some ller (optional).
Rnd 18: *sc2tog, sc in next st* 3 times (= 6 sts)
Cut yarn, leaving a 15 cm end. Thread yarn needle with the end and
weave through remaining stitches, draw up rmly. Fasten securely.

Ear (2 details)
Start with ‘Magic Ring’ in colour yellow. Crochet 6 sc into ring. Continue
to work in rounds by single crochet in the front and back loop together.
Rnd 1: *2 sc in st* 6 times (=12 sts.)
Rnd 2-5: sc around (= 12 sts)
Don’t stuff.
Cut yarn, leaving a 15 cm end.

Tail
Start with 5 ch + 1 turning ch in yellow colour. Starting from second ch
from hook work the sequence: 1 sl st, 1 sl st, 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc. Cut
yarn, leaving a 15 cm end.

Nose
Start with 3 ch + 1 turning ch in black colour yarn.
Rnd 1: Starting from second ch from hook work the sequence: 1
sc, 1 sc, 3 sc in st. Turn your work. Work on the other side 1 sc,
3 sc in st. (= 8 sts)
Continue to work in rounds.
Rnd 2-3: sc around (= 8 sts)
Cut yarn, leaving a 15 cm end.

Eye (2 details)
Use a smaller hook or thinner yarn (optional).
Start with ‘Magic Ring’ in colour white. Crochet 10 dc into ring.
Rnd 1 (front and back loop together): sl st around (= 10 sts)
Cut yarn, fasten securely.
Continue with black colour.
Rnd 2 (insert the hook into the loops belonging to the 10 dc):
*2 sc in st* 10 times (= 20 sts)
Cut yarn, leaving a 10 cm end.

First, sew the nose to the body. Then sew the eyes. Then, over
the nose, sew a muzzle. Sew it in a bent position. The same
