HR gap means a break down of currently workforce and the skills they process compared to the
workforce you will need to reach the key business or organization objective or goals. Always HR gap
provide information that needs to help the company to grow or to expand as well as anable the
company to stay competitive . The following are the gap between existing and needed HR.
Employee engagement gap, this means the strength of mental and emotional connection between
employee to ward the work they do, their team, and, their organization. The organization can fail to
attain it’s objective or to achieve it’s goals if there’s no employee engagement simply because employee
engagement measure how employee feel about their organization based on their perception at the
workplace. Therefore employee engagement is mostly important because it immediate benefits in
employee retention, recruitment as well as job satisfaction which are normally act as motivating factor
for employee to accomplish their responsibility and duties they have within a company and anable a
company to reach it’s objective.
Altitudes gap, A company can have a gap if it’s employee lack altitudes or capabilities. And this happen
when the manager and organizations hire people with medium or average capabilities, and then try to
develop them through experience and training then such employee provided with a job that demand
high level of skills in which a person hire is not capable. Therefore such situations made a company to
have altitudes gap hence fail to reach their goals.
Creativity gap, Actually creativity involve innovation of ldeas into reality. Therefore a company may
have a gap in creation of new ideas into reality something that can make a company fail to accomplish
it’s stated goals, simply because a company will always demand creative employee and manager that
could ask a question and ldentify new ways to perform different task so that the company can achieve
it’s goals.
Learning gap, A company can have a learning gap and become it difficult for a company to accomplish
it’s goals due to the existence of poor task performance and lack of sufficient skills to it’s employee.
Therefore the management have to provide learning to it’s employee in order to improve task
performance some things that can anable the company to attain it’s goals and objectives.
Skills gap. In any company a gap can be existed because it’s employee they lack enough skills and
knowledge. Such thing made a company fail to it’s objective until the managers provide extra Skills and
knowledge to it’s employee Inorder to acquire competent skilled personnel who will assist a company to
accomplish it’s goals.
Therefore, not only the gap between existing and needed HR but also there are HR plan and strategy like
as follows.
HR plans and policies, are those guidelines and strategy that helps employer to deal with health,
safety and accountability of employee as well as their interaction with customer or client’s. Also HR plan
and policy are used as a guideline for the federal or state regulatory requirements, legal issues and other
situations that can lead to severe consequences for employee. The following are those human resources
plan and policies.
Attendance, vacation and time off policy. A company must prepare attendance list to detect who
employee attend at the workplace and which one are not. Not only that, but also a company must
prepare a systematic way of requesting day off to the employee and the policy also must explain how
must time off employee receive. Therefore attendance vacation and time off policy will help to supervise
employee participation on their duties and responsibilities they have in the company.
Employee code of conduct policy.Forexample dressing code . Therefore the existence of proper and
clear code of conduct at a certain company or business entity’s will enable the employee to have clear
understanding about company performance and behavior simply because code of conduct will
encourage proper dressing to the employee hence made a company to perform well at the market
through acquiring of many customers from different places.
Workplace, health and safety policy. For example Health insurance, person protective equipment like
gloves, safety boot as well as element. This policy will enable the employee to ensure safety at the
workplace and continue with production activity hence made a company to accomplish it’s stated
objectives., Always employee prefers to provide their labour and work for efficiency in area where there
is conducive and safety environment. Therefore health and safety policy at the workplace will enable
employee to work for efficiency hence a company will achieve it’s goals.
Employee disciplinary action policy. Always discipline of an employee can accelerate a company to
achieve it’s goals. Therefore in order to maintain discipline of an employee at the workplace the top
management have to formulate strict law’s and regulations to ward those employee who will going
against to the ethics of the company. Such situations will help to hold employee accountability about
the duties they have in the company hence made a company to achieve it’s goals.
Employee complaint policy. For example existence of suggestion box, This will enable employee to
provide their views and ideas or even long doing done by some officials within a company or any
complaint that they have experienced to see in the whole process of running business or an
organization. Therefore the complaint like physical work place complaint, financial issues like payroll as
well as social circumstances like harassment or bullying will be easy to be solved as it reach to the top
management early through information provided by employee using suggestion box.
To sum up any organization with Human Resources department supposed to break down and look
for presences of work force and determine the targeted goals of a company in order to ldentify the
existing gap Inorder to prepare good way or strategy to overcome all gap for the purpose of achieving
organization goals.
