Who Qualifies for Global Entry?
U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents of the U.S., and citizens of certain other countries are eligible for Global Entry membership provided that they: Have never been convicted of a criminal offense in any country Have never been found in violation of customs, immigration or agricultural laws Do not provide false or incomplete information on their application Are not the subject of an investigation by any Federal, State, or local law enforcement agency.
How Much Does it Cost?
A non-refundable application fee of $100 per applicant will be charged at the time of application. If approved, membership is valid for five years.
How Do I Declare Goods?
As a Global Entry member, you must declare all goods you are importing into the United States. You will be required to answer the customs declaration questions presented on the kiosk, however you will not need to complete the paper customs declaration form (CBP 6059B) before arrival. Children under the age of 14 are not eligible to participate. Children between the ages of 14 and 18 will require written consent by a parent or legal guardian.
How Does It Work?
The Global Entry program has a strict membership standard. Once approved, Global Entry members can use our automated kiosks in most major U.S. airports, rather than having to go through the traditional arrival process.
How Do I Apply?
1. Go to www.globalentry.gov and fill out an application. 2. Once your application has been reviewed, you will be asked to schedule an interview at one of the Global Entry Enrollment Centers. At that interview a CBP officer will determine your eligibility, take your photo, and collect biometric information (e.g. fingerprints). 3. Provide a valid passport and one other form of identification such as a drivers license or ID card. If you are a permanent resident of the U.S. you must provide your permanent resident card.
