An Enchanted Reflection
School can be tough and tiring, and all kids could use a break from it. Now, I know two sisters who go to
Ranovelle Middle School ; Emily and Brielle. Brielle was one year younger than her sister Emily, but no
matter what their age was, they were best friends. Everyday after school, their grandmother takes them to
the park to have some fun and take a break from school. One evening, Grandma sat down at a park bench
and watched the two girls run off to play. Emily and Brielle took a stroll past the duck ponds, watching
the reflection of them in the water. Everything was completely normal, until they came across some odd
water. There were no fish or ducks in this pond, which made things seem odd. "Hey Emily, this water
seems weird, don't you think?" asked Brielle, and Emily agreed after taking a closer look. "Yes," she said.
"All the other ponds reflected our faces in it's water, but this one seems to have a different apprearance."
Sure enough, the girls were shocked to not see their faces - instead, they saw a patch of green with tiny
colorful dots around it. "It's kind of hard to make out!" sighed Brielle, struggling to see what it was. "The
water's so blurry, I can't see much." Neither could Emily. The two girls looked around at the other ponds,
but none of them were a match to this unique pond water. That day seemed to be very quiet, and thetwo
girls saw no other kids around them. This was surprising, for the park was usually very crowded. Emily
and Brielle spotted their Grandma sitting at bench in the corner, reading a magazine. She saw the girls and
waves to them and the girls waved back. "Okay, now back to this water mystery!" said Brielle, trying to
focus. "This just might be it Emily, we might have found the one thing we've always been looking for - an
adventure!" The girls were beaming with excitement, but also a little scared and nervous. "So, maybe we
should try to do something?" asked Emily after a moment of silence. The two girls stared at the peculiar
water in confusion, and then Emily got an idea. "Hey, maybe we should just sway our hands about in the
water and try to make the awakward reflection clearer!" she said, and Brielle agreed to give it a try. The
sisters bend down and waved the water about with their hands. Without a moment's hesitation, the water
took action at once, and glowed a slight white color. The girls were so shocked that when they were trying
to get up in a rush, they accidentally tripped each other's legs and fell into the water! The girls expected to
get up with only wet legs, but instead, they fell all the way in! This pond had a higher depth than any
other pond in the world! Emily and Brielle hugged each other and closed their eyes, screaming in fear.
You would feel the same if you were falling deep into water with no way out and no idea where you are
headed! But at least that's what they thought! While the girls were still falling, they soon discovered they
could breathe; and talk! "Wait, is it just me or are we mermaids?" asked Brielle in shock. "For we are
breathing and talking UNDERWATER - I think!" After a few more seconds of falling, the two sisters
realised that they weren't in water anymore, and when they looked down, they saw the patch of green they
had seen in the reflection before. But only this time is was much more clearer. The 'green patch' was
actually a bunch of trees, plants and bushes. The fall finally ended, and the girls got a nice and soft
landing on one of the bushes. "Well that was a lucky one!" sighed Brielle, trying to calm down from the
long fall. The girls took a few seconds to recover from the air sick drop, and when they looked around,
they noticed they weren't at the park anymore. Also, they seemed to have shrunk - very, very tiny! The
bush they landed on looked humungous to them, so were all the other things around them. They also
noticed that there was no one around them - no humans, no birds, no noisy children, nothing. Everything
was different, and the girls loved this place. But they were also worried about how they would get back
home. "Let's not freak out sis," said Emily, comforting her sister with a hug. "We'll explore this place,
have our adventure and then head back home, okay?" Brielle was feeling better, so she joined her sister
and started to roam around. As they walked around, they arrived at an enormous tree, at least it was
enormous to them since they were tiny. They saw many things that they had never seen before. Things
such as ice-cream sundae fountains, muffin trampolines, actual gingerbread houses, candy-cane
chimneys, wooden roads, and so much more. But the best discovery the girls made was real live fairy
folk! Yes, you heard me - actual fairy folk! Wherever the sisters turned to look, they saw hundreds and
hundreds of little fairies, pixies, gnomes, brownies, elves and so much more! Emily and Brielle stared in
amazement and admiration - the fairy folk were just as tiny as the two girls were. They've always
dreamed of meeting fairy folk in real life, so they tried stopping some to speak to them. "Hey there!"
Brielle called out to three fairies in a friendly manner. One fairy was dressed in full sparkling glitter, the
other wore a blue dress with a lovely pearl necklace, and the last fairy was dressed in a green leaf skirt
and a flower top. The fairies walked up to the girls and Emily explained, "Hi, my name's Emily and this is
my sister Brielle. Um, I know this might sound crazy, but we're human girls, and we fell down a pond.
Then we shrunk to your size!" The fairies didn't seem to be shocked or puzzled at all. Instead, they
laughed! "Haha!" said one of the three fairies. "Don't panic this much. This is completely normal! Once a
year, we select kids from a family to come down here and experience our life here. Welcome to the Lands
of Cilistia!" The girls were shocked to hear this, and even more, they were honoured to be picked for this
once a year occassion! "Well, uh, thank you so much!" replied Brielle, and not able to hold it in any
longer, she hugged the three cute fairies. "OMG, you're so adorable!" cried Brielle, never expecting this to
ever happen in her life. "Well Brielle, it's nice to meet you and your sister," said a fairy dressed in blue.
"My name is Pearl, and these are my friends Shimmer and Blossom." The girls were offered a tour by the
three fairies, and they were shown many more things they would never experience anywhere else. They
saw banana slides, mushroom apartments, more enormous trees with houses and fairy folk in them, a
cookie tower, and so much more - so much that if I were to tell you each an every one, it would take hours
for you to read! To fast forward, the girls and fairies kept on walking past exoitic sights, stopping now
and then to have some fun and play. "So," began Emily, trying to have a fun little chit-chat with their new
friends. "Why did you fairy folk decide to welcome humans into the Lands of Cilistia once a year?"
Shimmer explained, "Well, the Pixie King and Queen thought that it would be awesome to make the
dreams of kids come true. But they are always very careful of whom they invite here with an enchanted
ditigal earth globe, where you can click anywhere and identify who's good and who's not. Where do you
think some of the authors of Earth get their ideas to write fairy tales? They too were welcomed here when
they were kids!" The girls were happy to hear this, for now they knew that they were brought here
because they were good. They loved the thought of writing story books about the Lands of Cilistia. "You
are going to have the honour of meeting the Pixie Royal Family," explained Blossom the flower fairy.
"They were the ones who invented this whole once a year thing, which is the best way for us fairy folk
and you humans to bond. Only kids such as you are welcome here, not adults. Those are for reasons such
as they aren't that good at keeping a secret, ......." They had fun, long talks and very soon, they arrived at a
huge castle shaped like a big, pretty, and colorful cloud. "Let's go in," said Shimmer. "They will help you
to get home." So they entered the castle and loyally bowed to the King, Queen, and Prince. "Welcome to
the Lands of Clilistia girls!" said the King in a very high and mighty voice. He didn't seem to be strict or
rude, he was very friendly and funny to the girls. "I hope you have been having some fun," said the
Queen. "This is our son Jonathan, the heir to the throne." The pixie prince shyly waved to the two sisters.
"We are glad to have gone through yet another blessed and happy year welcoming new kids such as you,"
said the friendly King. "Before we send you back home, we have a little gift for you two." Two of the
King's soldiers walked in with a box. It was handed over to the girls and the King continued to say, "Open
this box when you get back home, there's a huge surprise waiting for you in there." The girls thanked the
King with great pleasure, even though the box was very tiny; hand-sized. The King grabbed his enchanted
globe. Emily and Brielle said their final goodbyes to Pearl, Shimmer, Blossom and the Royal Pixie
Family. "Thank you so much for selecting us this year, this is the best we've felt all our lives!" said Brielle
and Emily, hugging everyone. "Bye everyone, thank you so much. We love this place. We rate it 5 out of
5 stars! Goodbye now!" The two girls walked up to the globe and the King started chanting out some
magic. Then in a puff of smoke, the girls dissapeared and were back next to the pond. They saw their
grandmother starting to fall asleep, so without keeping her waiting, the girls walked back home with her.
When the sisters were back in their bedroom, they were changing into their pyjamas, Emily felt
something in her shirt pocket. It was the little box the King had given them, she had put it in her pocket
earlier. "Hey Brielle, let's open this and check what's inside," said Emily, and Brielle came over to where
Emily was sitting. The two girls curiously opened the tiny box, and to their utmost shock, out
