Lowering
Before launch
1. Remove all protection covers, if any.
2. Remove boat lashings.
3. Make sure the wire ropes create no obstruction, blocking the rotating
procedure.
4. Check the wire and that the hook is properly connected to the boat.
5. Check and remove any obstruction / railing.
6. Check the boat drains.
7. Check that the Remote-Control wires are not connected to the rescue boat.
Lowering operation in normal condition:
1. Embarkation of the crew.
2. To lower the boat, use the push button on the remote control if you are
standing on deck, or release the brake of the winch by pulling the emergency
lowering rope if you are inside the craft.
(Important !!! if the hook has to be lowered without load, the winch wire
has to have tension to secure proper spooling of wire.)
3. Start the engine of the craft when waterborne,
4. Release hook, when there is no side force on lifting wire.
5. Release painter line.
Lowering operation in an emergency situation:
When an emergency situation has occurred and you have a dead ship, the davit can
be launched out by stored energy in the accumulator. Oil pressure from the
preloaded accumulator connected to the hydraulic cylinder circuit, is used for that
purpose.
The system is designed so that the accumulator is automatically filled. The davit will
automatically switch over to emergency system, with a backup battery pack for all
functions.
Operation of the davit as Normal Condition.
Hoisting operation
1. Fasten the painter line to the craft.
2. Fasten the hook to the craft, then tension the lifting wire.
3. Stop the engine of the craft,
4. Hoist boat by use of the remote control (the end stop function
will automatically stop the boat when the highest lifting position is reached).
5. When boat is secured, disembark the crew.
6. Check if the emergency lowering rope is properly spooled/ packed.

Use of emergency hand pump
The davit is also equipped with an emergency hand pump, which function is to be
able to use the davit even if the accumulator is empty. Pump pressurise the
accumulator.
The pump can be used to
1.pump oil by using hand pump,
2. check the pressure gauge at 190 bars. stop pumping
3.the davit can be using as normal operation with remote.
