John 11:35 Insight

“Jesus Wept”
7For me, the shortest verse in the Bible contains a significant revelation about the nature of God.
Jesus knew before the event that he could resurrect the dead, and he even announced that he is
the resurrection and the life, so crying should not have been present at that event knowing that
Lazarus would die and knowing that he could resurrect him, but it caused confusion when Jesus
wept.

After thinking about it for almost 24 hours, I realized that the moment Jesus Christ wept was also
the moment he first saw Mary and then the people. This realization helped me to understand how
closely connected we are to God and how every time we experience pain, he also experiences it.
It's as if we are one body, and when one part hurts, it affects the entire body.

Psalm 1
1
Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
2
but whose delight is in the law of the LORD,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
3
That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.
4
Not so the wicked!
They are like chaff
that the wind blows away.
5
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
6
For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.
Reflection: For me, the person who sincerely sets himself apart for God and finds joy in being in
God's presence rather than in worldly goods is blessed. When sorrow and storms come, he will
remain steadfast in his belief in God's kindness.
Jesus and Zacchaeus Encounter – Reflection

We also teach this scenario for the subject of coming face-to-face with Christ in which
Zacchaeus makes an effort to see Christ. I think that he was already in a state where he was
longing to change his life; he wanted to have this change; he is tired of being the evil one in their
community; however, he is unsure of where to start or how to start. Until Jesus shows up.
My life has been too busy with earthly things with the sense that I wanted to be
productive, but with Zacchaeus' encounter, I need to build this effort to give my best to Christ for
his ministry and the vision he has given. For my life at this time, I don't give anything to God
that doesn't add value to my life, and like Zacchaeus, I also have this effort to put God in my
priority by giving time and effort.

Jesus and Samaritan woman

I can't hide anything from God, and it fascinates me that even though he knows who she
is, Jesus doesn't condemn or blame her. In contrast, when I was a child, I had a guardian, and
whenever they found out something wrong I had done, I would immediately anticipate to be
spanked with a stick. In this instance, Jesus made an attempt to reach out to the Samaritan lady
because, I believe, Christ is still making an effort to reach out to everyone on this planet,
including those who are yet to know him.

My encounter with Christ is similar to that of the Samaritan woman; I experienced joy
when I was admitted into the kingdom of God despite the harm I had caused to my brothers and
sisters. What an amazing God I serve, as of today, I still have a desire to spread the word to those
who haven't truly encountered him and to re-encounter him.
Discipline Living:

One: Living for the Gold. How do you prepare for the Gold?

* I train by giving my all; just as the book describes how Olympic athletes train their entire lives
to perfect their talents and techniques, so too do I prepare for the gold by maintaining my fire
and remaining in God's presence.

Two: A Clear Goal. What do you do to make clear goals?

When I live my life, I need to keep my eyes fixed on the price that God has set for the crown of
life because it has already been said that my ultimate goal is eternal life. Since I am only
temporarily present on earth and eternally seated in heaven, the finest investments are things that
will last. Three: Eternal Life. What do you do to prepare for eternal life?

Three: Eternal Life. What do you do to prepare for eternal life?

My preparation is the confidence to receive it making it worthy for me as I live in this world to
always live in communion with God

Four: Spiritual Reading. What readings guide you spiritually?

Bible and theological books, Spiritual foundation – for as for this time this are the type of book
that boos me spiritually because the more I discover more about God the more the fire within me
burns.

Five: Reading Spiritually. How do you read spiritually?

Personally for me every word or statement that gives me something new insight I pause for a
while and let it marinate in me, and also I give time to meditate to get more revelations and logic.

Six: In Search of Meaning. How do we create meaning out of our lives?

Finding my purpose in life is important to me because without it, life has no meaning. I don't
expect to be the superstar in this life because I am not; instead, I am just a servant of the
superstar Jesus, who has already revealed to me what my purpose is: "Go and preach the Gospel
and Make Disciples." I am compelled to pursue this purpose because it is the only way I can
"love God and love others" because the only way I can love others is by bringing them into the
presence of God.
