‘The Apostles’ Creed
| believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth, and
in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and
born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and
was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the
dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the
Father Almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
| believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of
saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.
Amen.The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed by thy name; thy kingdom come;
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
The Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed are you among
women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of
God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Glory Be to the Father
Glory be the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the
beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Fatima Prayer
Qh My Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell and lead all
souls to Heaven, especially those who are in most need of Thy mercy.
Hail, Holy Queen
Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy; our life, our sweetness and our hope. To
thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our
sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most
gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy towards us. And after this our exile
show unto us the blessed fruit of Thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O
sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God; That we may be
made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.
Prayer at the End of the Rosary
O God, whose only begotten Son, by his life, death and resurrection, has
purchased for us the rewards of eternal salvation. Grant, we beseech thee,
that while meditating upon these mysteries of the most holy rosary of the
Blessed Virgin Mary, we may both imitate what they contain and obtain
what they promise through the same Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
O most holy heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, | adore you, | love
you, and with lively sorrow for my sins | offer you this poor heart of mine.
Make me humble, patient, pure and wholly obedient to your will. Grant,
Good Jesus, that | may live in you and for you. Protect me in the midst of
danger. Comfort me in my afflictions. Give me health of body, assistance in

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the
wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou, 0 Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of Gad, cast into

Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me
sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where
there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is
sadness, joy.
Divine Master, grant that | may not so much seek to be consoled as to
console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is
in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in
dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.
ASteward’s Prayer
Dear Jesus,
Help me to understand that my parish is composed of people like me. | help
make it what it is.
Itwill be friendly, if | am.
It will be holy, ifl am.
Its pews will be filled, if | help fill them.
It will do great work, if | work.
It will be prayerful, if | pray.
It will make generous gifts to many causes, if | am a generous giver.
It will bring others into worship, if | invite and bring them in.
It will be a place of loyalty and love, of fearlessness and faith, of
compassion, charity, and mercy, if |, who help make it what it is, am filled
with these same things.
Therefore, | beg You, Jesus, for the grace | need to dedicate myself to the
task of being all the things that | want my parish to be.

“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven
Blessed are they who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the land.
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the clean of heart,
for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,

Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven.”
