sandwich has a very interesting story. Do you

Let me introduce you to John Montagu, the 4
Earl of Sandwich from England. The name
sandwich was name after him and became
popularized in the year 1762
But here is the secret, Montagu was not the
creator of the first sandwich, there was a time
that Montagu has addiction in gambling he
wouldn’t stand up on the game table so he
asked his maid to make him a food that is
easy to eat that would not disturb him from
gambling. So the idea came from Montagu
and his maid was the creator.
Trivia
Americans eat more than 300 million
sandwiches a day.
Imagine there are 365 days in a year times
300 million. They consume 109,500,000,000
sandwiches a year.
B. LESSON PROPER
Mystery Box
I need 3 volunteers in front they have to guess
what is inside the box by touching.
Guide Questions:
1. What do you think is inside the box?
Describe it to us. (the students will describe the object that is
inside the box)

Each of the group has puzzle to solve then the
puzzle is place under your table you have to
solve the puzzle as fast as you can.
Now that you are finish with the puzzle there is
a number at the back of the puzzle once I call
the number you have to describe the picture.
The picture you made are the different types of
sandwich.
There a two categories of types of sandwich
these are the cold and hot sandwich.
So what do you think is the difference between

cold and hot sandwich
Cold sandwich are a plain sandwich made
up of bread preferably a day-old, bread, toasted if
desired and on which butter can be readily
spreadwhile hot sandwich are those consistsof
hot fillings, usually meats but sometimes fish,
grilled vegetables or other hotitems, between two
slices of bread
Cold Sandwiches
1. Open-faced Sandwiches
Open sandwiches make use of one kind of
bread with the filling on top.
2. Regular Cold Sandwiches
A plain sandwich is made up of two slices of
bread, preferably a day-old bread, toasted if
desired, and on which butter can be readily
spread.
3. Pinwheel Sandwiches
Pinwheels are made of bread cut lengthwise,
about 3/8 inch thick.
4. Tea Sandwiches
Tea sandwiches are small fancy sandwiches
made from light, delicate ingredients and bread
that has been trimmed of crusts
5. Multi-decker Sandwiches
Are made with more than two slices of bread
(or rolls split into more than two pieces) and
with several ingredients in the filling.
6. Wrap/Rolled Sandwiches
Wraps are sandwiches in which the fillings are
wrapped, like a Mexican burrito, in a large
flour tortilla of similar flatbread.
HOT SANDWICHES
1. Regular Hot Sandwiches
Simple hot sandwiches consist of hot fillings,
usually meats but sometimes fish, grilled
vegetables, or other hot items, between two
slices of bread.
2. Hot Open-Faced Sandwich
Open-faced sandwiches are made by placing
buttered or unbuttered bread on bread on a
serving plate, covering it with hot meat or
other filling and topping with a sauce, gravy,
cheese, or other topping. This type of sandwich
is eaten with a knife and fork.
3. Grilled Sandwiches
Grilled sandwiches, also called toasted
sandwiches, are simple sandwiches that are
buttered on the outside and browned on the
griddle, in a hot oven, or in a Panini grill (see
sidebar). Sandwiches containing cheese are
popular for grilling.
4. Deep Fried Sandwiches
Deep-fried sandwiches are made by dipping
sandwiches in beaten egg and sometimes in
bread crumbs, and then deep-fry..
5. Filled rolls, focaccia or pitta bread

quesadillas and burritos
Demo Making
Today I will be making 2 types of sandwich
which are the pinwheel and clubhouse.
now I will demonstrate the way to make
pinwheel and clubhouse sandwich.
Pinwheel
Ingredients
Slices of bread
Mayonnaise
Ham
Lettuce
Procedure:
1. Remove the crust of the bread
2. Using a rolling pin or a clean bottle flatten
the bread.
3. Spread a exact amount of mayonnaise or a
half tablespoon will do. Place the ham and
lettuce.
4. Roll the bread and cut put a toothpick on top
to seal or hold the pinwheel sandwich then
serve.
Clubhouse sandwich
Ingredients
3 slices of bread
Mayonnaise
Ham and egg
Lettuce and tomatoes
Procedure:
1. place 3 slices of bread in your working table.
Put spread or mayonnaise on the 2 slices.
2. In the first slice add lettuce and tomatoes
then put the other slice of bread upside down
containing mayonnaise.
3. On the top put a little amount of mayonnaise
then add lettuce, ham and egg.
4. Again add a little amount of mayonnaise on
the bread and put it on top.
5. Cut the bread in diagonal way or create a
triangle shape.
Application

Now it’s your time to make sandwich you
will be doing either pinwheel or clubhouse
sandwich. You will be doing it by group. May
I ask one from your group to pick what
sandwich you are going to make.
You will be graded by the following criteria:

Now ask your resource manager to take all
the ingredients that you need I will give you
only 2 minutes to take all the ingredients you
need. Then show me what sandwich you will
be making
Generalization
After you are done with the sandwich making
you will be doing a role play
But first let me show you a picture
What can you say about the picture? Are you
familiar with it? Where can you find it?
Very good, now discuss with your group how
will you are going to sell the sandwich you
already made a while ago then make a
packaging of your output.
To know what material will you use in the
packaging let us do a drawlot.

costumer?
2. When you are about to make sandwich and
try to sell it, how are you going to deal with it
if there are huge amount left from your
sandwich production?
