View provides a spreadsheet-like grid for entering and viewing data, where rows represent
individual cases and columns represent variables. Variable View allows you to configure and
manage variable properties, including names, types, formats, and value labels, ensuring
accurate data representation. Output Viewer displays the results of your analyses, including
tables, charts, and textual output, and offers tools for editing, formatting, and saving these
results. Syntax Editor enables you to write, edit, and execute SPSS commands to automate
and customize data management and analysis tasks. Chart Editor is used to customize and
enhance the appearance of charts and graphs, adjusting elements like colors, labels, and
layouts. Pivot Table Editor allows for the detailed formatting and arrangement of pivot
tables, improving the presentation of cross-tabulated data. Together, these windows support

Types of SPSS Windows

1. Data Editor

directly enter, edit, and view data values. It shows each case (or observation)
in rows and each variable in columns.
