Enrollment Steps for English as a Second Language (ESL)

Step 1 Complete the SLCC application online, slcc.edu/apply

Pay the application fee of $20 ($75 for International Student). Valid for 3 years, non-refundable.
• Allow 1-2 business days for the application to be processed.
• For assistance with the application contact the Office of Admissions at 801-957-4485.
• Get your student number and MySLCC username by visiting any campus or online at
https://sasbot.slcc.edu/webforms/fetchsid/

Step 2 Create your MySLCC password and sign in. Average test time is 40-60 mins.
• You will need access to your MySLCC account before taking the ESL test in Step 3.
• To log in to your MySLCC account, please visit https://my.slcc.edu/
• Having trouble? Call the Help Desk at 801-957-5555.

Step 3 Take the ESL test (ESL Self Placement Test) Average test time is 40-60 mins.
• The ESL Self Placement Test can be completed online
• https://www.slcc.edu/testing/placement/esl-placement-test.aspx

• Prefer to test on campus instead? You can visit any of the Testing Centers to receive help

Need to retest? Please contact Testing Services at 801-957-4673.

Step 4 Schedule an appointment with an ESL academic advisor to review your test scores and register.

Step 5 Pay tuition in full or set-up a payment plan: Tuition costs provided are subject to change. Cost of books and supplies is not included in

ESL classes (Beginning I-Advanced II)
 Resident/Non-resident student cost per class is:
o Reading/Writing: $294-490
o Listening/Speaking: $196-490
o Grammar or Vocabulary or Pronunciation: $98-294 each
 International Student cost: $784 + (International Student Services Fees)

Step 6 Purchase Parking Permit: Purchase one semester or year parking permit in your MySLCC account.
• Purchase parking permit on your: Parking Services Portal

*Exception: No parking permit needed if attending classes ONLY at the West Valley Center

3er Paso Realizar la prueba de ESL (ESL Self Placement Test) El tiempo promedio de la prueba es de 40-60 minutos.

Clases de ESL de No Credito (Beginning I-Intermediate II)
 Para un Estudiante Residente/No Residente, el costo por clase es:
o Lectura/Escritura: $294-490
o Escuchar/Hablar: $196-490
o Gramática o Vocabulario o Pronunciación: $98-294 cada clase
 Para un Estudiante Internacional, el costo es: $784 + (pago de servicios para estudiantes internacionales)

6 Paso Comprar permiso de Estacionamiento : Para compra un permiso de estacionamiento semestral o anual en su
MySLCC cuenta.
• Puedes comprar permiso de estacionamiento atraves de este link: Parking Services Portal

*Excepcion: No se necesita permiso de estacionamiento si asiste a clases SOLAMENTE en West Valley Center.
