.The Oracle.

The small town of Eldridge had its fair share
of mysteries but none of them were quite as
captivating as the enabling enigma (Amelia
Amethyst) that dances down the cobblestone
streets coming back from school. At the
young age of 14 she had already discovered
multiple sights and splendors. Everyone knew
about the accomplishments that she had
achieved but no one knew who she was.
Enter Oliver, her reliable friend, the only
person in town who understood the magic
behind her curious escapades. Though he
was the exact opposite of her, known
worldwide, with a certain expertise for
wizarding they still manage to understand
each other one way or the other.
They both were on their way back from
school when Oliver started talking about a
prophecy, one about her. It predicted that
there was a dark spirit that was trying to ruin
her entity and make her miserable. Amelia
started laughing, so loudly that Oliver was
startled. Her laughter slowly faded away after
Oliver didn’t start laughing as well and kept a
straight face. “You’re kidding right?’ she said
in a worried tone. ‘No, I’m not’, he replied
with a blank face. Amelia chuckled to try and
lift the mood but failed. Oliver said, “Amy, I’m

being serious several oracles have been
unfurled into silver tokens and-“ He was cut
off by a startled yet somewhat cheerful
Amelia.. “Go on, it’s not like we have reached
your house, and stopped walking 10 minutes
ago”. Oliver sighed, “I’ll text you the rest!”
he said, though Amelia had already ran away,
not willing enough to listen to any more of his
‘nonsense’.
Though she acted like she didn’t care, as
soon as she got home she dashed to her
room, opened her laptop and began
researching on this so called prophecy that
was written about her. She typed in ‘Amelia
Amethyst Oracle’. In just a few seconds there
was thousands and millions of results. She
stared open-mouthed at the screen as more
and more websites started jamming up the
page. She read through all the websites and
by the time she was done it was already the
next day and she had to go to school.
Unsurprisingly, she dozed off in all the
classes despite having five cups of coffee
before each lesson. Oliver asked, “What’s the
matter with you today?”, Amelia replied,
“Thanks to you, I spent the whole of last
night researching on this
oracle!” ,”Apparently it’s hidden in several

Page

silver tokens which are spread all over the
states of England and-“ “THAT’S WHAT I SAID
YESTERDAY!”, said Oliver in the most
dramatic, and surprised tone.
”Anyways, there’s one here in Eldridge and
I’m desperate to find it, and I figured since
you do this magic, sorcery, witchcraft thing
you would be able to track it down.” she said.
“Hmm, maybe I can but that would cost you.”
he replied. “Fine, just do it already”, she said.
Oliver took out his wand from his bag and
shouted “Pistamanteio!”. Amelia screamed in
shock as they were somehow teleported to a
back alley somewhere in the faraway lands
on Eldridge.
Right beneath their own eyes there laid a
bright silver token, glistening in its full glory.
Amelia was about to pick it up when Oliver
shouted, “STOP! You’re not supposed to
touch an oracle with your bare hands! It will
break!”. Despite screaming as loud as he
could Amelia touched it anyway. Oliver was
clearly on the verge of tears when Amelia
said, “Oh it disappeared, now what?”. “There
is now a higher chance of the oracle coming
true. Well done Amy!”, he said in a sarcastic
voice, Amelia replied, “Sorry” in a very
brazen tone. The two continued to venture

the lands of Eldridge until the darkest hours
of night. It was already 10 p.m. when Oliver
said, “It’s getting late we should head back
home.” Amelia replied, “Fine, let’s go”. Upon
reaching their homes at 11 p.m., both quickly
dozed off, eagerly anticipating the next day's
adventure
A bright Sunday morning greeted them with
no clouds in the sky.. Both woke up early,
eager to embark on their next adventure.
They started off their adventure with yet
again the same spell. “Pistamanteio!”
shouted Oliver.

This time rather than being teleported

directly to the token they were taken to a
dark office. In front of them the darkest, most
mighty wizard known to the wizarding world,
Chyros. Amelia, unknowing of the fact that
this wizard could crumble her into pieces
said, “Hey! My name’s Amelia! It’s nice to
meet you!” Chyros replied, “Oh Amelia, I
hope my oracle did you well. I see you
already broke one! Mwahahaha” he cackled.
“What work have you done to help this
commoner Oliver? She’s already increased
her chances!” Chyros said. Oliver replied,
“Oliver retorted, 'I believe my work surpasses
your understanding, Chyros. As if you could
do any better.”

Page

Before Oliver could continue offending
Chyros he pulled out his wand and pointed it
towards Oliver. Green sparks and flames
dashed towards Oliver when Amelia pushed
him to the side, making him dodge the
flames. Oliver also took out his wand and
pointed it towards Chyros. Before he could
react he had already been attacked by the
fire. Oliver and Amelia ran out the office
before Chyros came by to his consciousness.

They ended up in a strange area filled with

cobwebs and dust. It was already very dark
so they couldn’t see anything. They walked
for a while until they spotted some light. It
felt like they had been walking for miles.

Once they had reached the more familiar

parts of Eldridge they took their separate
ways and went back to their homes. They
didn’t know where to go the next day so they
decided not to take their chances with the
spell and just searched around town.

When they had left out for their 3rd venture

their first stop was a local bakery. They
entered the bakery only to be hit by the
same wave of terror they felt when Chyros
was around.
Amelia and Oliver left the bakery, feeling
uneasy after their encounter with Chyros.
The idea of a dark wizard meddling in their

Page

quest for the oracle made them nervous.
They decided to head to the town library,
hoping to find more clues in the dusty old
books.
In the library, surrounded by towering
shelves, they stumbled upon a mysterious
text that hinted at the location of another
oracle. According to the ancient book, a silver
token was hidden near the town square
fountain, guarded by a friendly water spirit.
The pair followed the clue and reached the
fountain. A soft voice echoed, warning that
only those with pure intentions could retrieve
the oracle. Amelia hesitated, but with Oliver's
encouragement, they reached into the water
and found the silver token.
Amelia cradled the silver token in her hands,
feeling its cool, mystical energy. The town
square, once a place of magical turmoil, now
echoed with the soft murmurings of the
water spirit, grateful for the pure intentions
that had allowed them to retrieve the oracle.
As the duo stood by the fountain,
contemplating their next move, a subtle
ripple in the air caught their attention. A
magical portal materialized before them,
swirling with iridescent hues. Intrigued, they
exchanged a glance and, without hesitation,
stepped through.

Page

The portal transported them to a serene,
enchanted forest bathed in the soft glow of
moonlight. Trees whispered ancient secrets,
and mystical creatures observed them from
the shadows. In the centre of the glade stood
an ancient, towering oak tree, its branches
reaching towards the heavens.
In the heart of the enchanted forest,
surrounded by the soft whispers of ancient
trees, Amelia and Oliver marvelled at the
mystical scene unfolding before them. As
they ventured further into the glade, the
shadows seemed to come alive with the
presence of unseen creatures, each
observing the pair with curious eyes.
The towering oak tree in the centre of the
glade beckoned them closer. Its branches,
adorned with silver tokens, seemed to hold
the secrets of both the forest and the oracles
they sought. The air was thick with magic,
and the soft glow of moonlight intensified,
casting a gentle radiance upon the sacred
grove.
They heard a soft voice, "Welcome, seekers
of the oracles," the guardian spoke in a
melodic voice. "To prove your connection to
the natural world, you must undergo trials
that test your harmony with the elements."
The first trial unfolded as the guardian
directed them to communicate with the

Page

forest creatures. Squirrels chattered, rabbits
hopped nearer, and songbirds perched on
branches, all regarding Amelia and Oliver
with curious eyes. The pair looked at each
other, approached the creatures and,
through a magical exchange of gestures and
whispers, established a unique understanding
with the woodland creatures.
Encouraged by their success, the guardian
presented the next trial—an intricate dance
beneath the moonlit canopy. Uncertain at
first, Amelia and Oliver found themselves
moving to an unseen rhythm. The forest
responded to their dance, leaves rustling,
and fireflies joining in, creating a magical
spectacle that seemed to celebrate their
connection with nature.
The final trial involved deciphering the
language of the wind. In a clearing
surrounded by ancient trees, they closed
their eyes, letting the gentle breeze caress
their faces. Whispers carried by the wind
spoke of Eldridge's history, its connection to
magic, and the importance of safeguarding
the delicate balance of the natural world.
With the trials completed, the guardian
nodded in approval. The towering oak
responded by releasing the silver token,
glowing with a radiant brilliance. The
guardian spoke once more, "You have proven
your connection to the natural world. Take

this token, for we too wish for nothing but the
victory of our town, Eldridge."
After they left the Town Square Amelia
stopped her ground and looked at Oliver. “I
hear a voice!”, she said. “It’s Chyros, he
wants to destroy the tokens we have
collected.”. Oliver replied, “It’s best if we go
to the school grounds, no one goes there
anyway!”. And off they were to the school
grounds not knowing who was behind them.
They ran as fast as they could but no one
could match Chyros’s speed. Breathless and
heart pounding, Amelia and Oliver reached
the desolate school grounds. The moon cast
eerie shadows over the deserted playground,
and the old school building loomed in the
darkness. They huddled behind the rusted
swings, hidden from view, listening intently
for any sign of Chyros.
Amelia, her eyes wide with concern,
whispered to Oliver, "What does Chyros want
with the tokens? Why is he so determined to
destroy them?" Oliver, scanning their
surroundings, replied in a hushed tone,
"Chyros is a dark wizard with an insatiable
thirst for power. The oracles hold ancient
magic, and he seeks to control that power for
his own dark purposes."
As they spoke, a chilling wind swept through
the school grounds, and the distant sound of

Page

footsteps echoed. Chyros, cloaked in
shadows, emerged from the darkness. His
spiteful gaze fixed on the silver tokens
clutched in Amelia's hands.
With a evil grin, Chyros raised his wand,
conjuring dark energies that crackled in the
night air. Amelia and Oliver, realizing the
imminent danger, prepared to defend
themselves and the precious tokens. The
moonlight illuminated the tension in the air
as a magical duel unfolded on the silent
school grounds.
Sparks of light clashed with shadows, and the
night seemed to hold its breath. Amelia,
conjured protective spells to shield the
tokens. Oliver, drawing upon his wizarding
expertise, countered Chyros's dark magic
with bursts of light. The school grounds, once
a haven of childhood laughter, became a
battleground for opposing magical forces.
The swings creaked eerily, and the empty
classrooms bore witness to the clash
between good and evil.
Despite their best efforts, Chyros's dark
magic proved formidable. The protective
spells began to waver, and the silver tokens
flickered ominously. The air crackled with
tension as Chyros advanced, his ill will
casting a shadow over the desperate
defenders.

Page

Just when it seemed all hope was lost, a
mysterious figure emerged from the shadows
—a being with a radiant glow. The guardian
of the enchanted forest, having sensed the
threat, arrived to help Amelia and Oliver.
.The guardian's luminous wings unfolded,
casting a protective bubble around the duo.
Chyros, his dark magic repelled by the
guardian's ancient power, flinched in
surprise. The school grounds echoed with a
pleasant energy as the guardian faced the
dark wizard.
In a voice that echoed through the night, the
guardian warned Chyros, "The oracles are
bound by ancient magic, and their destiny is
not yours to control." The dark wizard,
realizing he was outnumbered and
overpowered, fled into the shadows, eager
for revenge.
As the guardian's glow faded, leaving the
school grounds in silence once more, Amelia
and Oliver caught their breaths. The silver
tokens, though darkened by the encounter,
remained intact. The guardian turned to
them with a nod of assurance before
dissolving into a lock of light.
Amelia and Oliver, shaken but determined,
knew that their journey to unfold the
mysteries of the oracles and protect Eldridge
from dark forces had only just begun. With

Page

the school grounds now empty and still, they
gathered the silver tokens and set off into the
night, directed by the promise of a new day
and the secrets held by the final oracle.
Amelia and Oliver stood by the fountain,
placing the silver tokens carefully in its base.
The moonlight illuminated the water as a soft
voice guided them to unlock the final oracle's
secrets.
As the tokens settled, the fountain began to
glow, and visions unfolded before them. They
saw Eldridge's past, filled with magic and joy,
and witnessed the strength of the town in the
present. The most enchanting scenes
revealed Eldridge's future—a place where
magic thrived, and the community embraced
its mystical heritage.
As the images faded, the water spirit's voice
spoke again, expressing gratitude for their
journey. The fountain's glow intensified, and
the silver tokens shimmered with newfound
magic. Amelia and Oliver felt a deep
connection to Eldridge, their hearts
intertwined with the town's enchanting
tapestry.
With the sunrise painting the sky, the water
spirit's voice shared a final message.
Eldridge, now awakened to a new day, stood
united by the courage and friendship Amelia
and Oliver had shown. The townspeople,

gathering in the square, celebrated the
magic that bound them together.
Amelia and Oliver, content and grateful,
shared smiles as the town embraced its
newfound enchantment. The final oracle, its
secrets revealed, became a timeless source
of inspiration for Eldridge, ensuring its magic
would endure for generations to come.
