INTRODUCTION
The On-the-Job training is one of the highlights of a student's experience in their college life. As
a criminology student, I’ve always looked forward to this experience because it is where we can apply our
knowledge and skills that we’ve gained along the years. It is also where we can enhance the skills that we
develop during the undergrad. That is why, I expect that at the end of my journey as a student trainee, I
will gain relevant insight and experience that will be relevant for me in the real field work world.
During my training at the Bureau of Fire Protection and Bureau of Jail Management and
Penology, I learned a lot. I was exposed to real-world work, became acquainted with the field, and
learned some office-specific skills. Not only does the length of time it takes me to finish a task matter, but
so does the level of quality of my work. I came to value even the most fundamental knowledge we were
taught in school. During my on-the-job training, I've collaborated with many outstanding individuals. I
enhanced my social skills and my ability to adapt to my surroundings and the people with whom I work.
My on-the-job experience was genuinely profound and unforgettable. They all left me with some piece of
advice, which I will cherish in my mind and heart for the rest of my life.
CRIMINOLOGY PLEDGE
I, Ronald T. Belisario on of my free will, kneel before the altar and swear before the symbols of
my faith, my loyalties and my profession, that I shall know forever live man, faithful to the teachings of
my masters, Jesus Christ, loyal to the constitution of the republic of the Philippines and never to those
who plan to disturb its tranquility and always be respectful and loving to my parents and elders.
Furthermore, I pledge to be respectful to my superior and obey all their lawful order without
questions to defend all women and children and the weak to all dangers even the extent of giving up my
life to be vigilant and report to the higher authorities and existence of drug pushers and child molesters.
I furthermore promise and swear to help my brothers and sisters so long as do not violate the law
of my country and of God.
I likewise promise and swear to put my mind and soul in my studies and excel in all my daily
activities and never to violate the sanctity of my body by taking drugs and intoxicating drinks.
To all this I pledge to keep my promise as I swear my uniform and honour and keep pride and
should i fail to keep my promise I shall submit myself to suffer the pain of expulsion from the rank of
noble men and those who shall fraternize with me shall they themselves be forever scorned and like an
outcast from the world.
SO HELP ME GOD!!!
PLEDGE OF LOYALTY
By: Sir Elbert Kim Hubbard
If you work for a man,
in heaven's name
work for him,
speak well of him,
and stand by the institution
that he represents.
Remember,
an ounce of loyalty
is worth a pound of cleverness.
If you must growl,
condemn, and eternally find fault
why?
resign your position,
and when you are outside,
damn to your heart's content
but as long as you are part of the institution,
do not condemn it.
If you do,
the first high wind that comes along
will blow you away,
and probably
you will never know why.
