EXECUTIVE
SUMMARY
Our project is a telemedicine application, bringing together different health services
on a single platform with the aim of making basic care more accessible. This service
will enable users not only to monitor your health from your smartphone, but also to
receive medicines from home.
EX ANTE
Now,SITUATION
we have 72% of the population which have access to healthcare at less than 5km. That means
that 28% of the population are located at more than 5 km to the closest medical center. Taking in
consideration the real distance between population and the road conditions in some areas, a lot
people have difficult access to medical centers.
However, our country has a good medical healthcare system with important strengths such as a good
medical staff (doctors, nurses), quality medical infrastructures. About the population, 47,5% of the
population lives in rural zone. We have a high global smartphone penetration rate and the digital
infrastructures allowing the easy implementation of digital services but still there is no digital medical
services in Ivory Coast.
PROPOSED
As solutions, developing a digital application will provide a fast accessibility to the medical services.
SOLUTION
This app will combine all the medical services which makes this app different from others we can find
on the network, they usually are isolated. And also, others Apps are not located in Ivory Coast.
We are aiming to reach population with the range of age about 25 to 75 years old. And this project
will need some resources such as funding from organizations, government, app developers and some
drone services
IMPLEMENTATION
In order to establish the project, we are going to need a mobile platform on which medical personal
and patients will discuss. And this platform will be generated by app developers. Also, we will head
for the Ministry of Public Health with the proposal of making an agreement for using some doctors at
disposal for the project. The same things will be done with the pharmacy for the medicines. And
then, make some contracts with drones’ companies for the distribution of the medicine to the
patients. We are going to plan some infrastructures where we are going to receive calls from the
patients in case of emergency or particular treatments.
About the feasibility, More or less similarity projects have been done on the market but in different
ways, so the feasibility is quite good. And we can still use the same normative related to this kind of
project and no need to change them.
Concerning the economic aspect this project can be settle with a sufficient initial investment not
compulsory high or that much.
So, the time to set this kind of project is at least two years. Because dealing with public institution
can take quite a big time. It will be the longest time of achievement because the others stakeholder’s
work.
IMPACT
This project will help to improve the healthcare system of our country, going from 52.5% to 95% of
the population which have easy access to healthcare. We will provide a digital population health
monitoring.
on the economic plan this project can reduce the healthcare costs significantly, by minimizing the
need for physical infrastructure and staff, increase the productivity by reducing time spent traveling
to appointments and waiting in clinics, can create jobs opportunities jobs in various sectors related
to tele-medicine such as technology companies, healthcare providers and so on.
This project can last very well and continue to provide positive impact on countries systems if we
increase Access to healthcare services on line, and also by reducing the need for in-person
consultations, hospital admissions and unnecessary travel.
Also Enhanced Continuity of care and healthcare Equity by ensuring that all individuals, regardless of
geographical location, socioeconomic status, or physical mobility, have access to quality healthcare
services.
