explanations, and suggestions for the following cases. Submit a narrative report and be able
to share your ideas in class. Make sure to include all important information and focus on the
topics discussed in this module.

1. Karina is about to finish senior high school. As much as she wants to pursue a college
degree, her parents cannot afford to bring three children in a university at the same time. She
is deciding in pursuing a tour guiding career. How will she become a successful tour guide?
What is she supposed to do considering her parents have very little funds to support
expensive trainings and certifications?

2. Jonathan is an outstanding student of bachelor of Science in Tourism Management in a

reputable school. He is well-traveled internationally and his tours have sparked interests in
pursuing a career in tour guiding. After his onthe-job training in a nearby town, he was being
offered a tour guiding career in locality he does not want to be in. His goal is to work abroad
and be a part of a reputable travel firm. What are your thoughts about this scenario? Should
Jonathan accept the offer? What is he supposed to do in order to achieve his goals?

1. Everyone goes through difficulties in life like Karina she wants to become tour guide but
her parents cannot afford to send her to school because of difficulties. If she really wants to
achieve her dreams, I would suggest that she must find a job first to earn her own money,
reducing their reliance on family for personal expenses and to support herself. By working,
she can start saving money and gain valuable experience, which will help her in the long run.
She could also consider part-time job or freelance opportunities while pursuing training or
certification programs like TESDA training programs she can already take a tour guiding
services NCII. This certification is designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge
needed to work as professional tour guides which is her dream.

Therefore, she needs to find a job in order to pay for the TESDA course. By working she
will be able to save the necessary funds for her training while also gaining valuable
experience that will benefit her future career as a tour guide. With perseverance and a clear
vision of her goals, she can turn her aspirations into reality. It’s important to remember that
poverty is not a hindrance in achieving everyone’s dreams when there's a will, there's a way.
Each step she takes towards earning her certification will bring her closer to fulfilling her
dream. er dedication and hard work will ultimately be the keys to unlocking her bright future.

2. Jonathan is an outstanding student of bachelor of Science in Tourism Management in a

reputable school when we say reputable school, it is an educational institution known for its
high standards of quality, credibility, and excellence in teaching and learning. His broad
international travel experiences and successful tours have fueled his ambition to pursue a
career in tour guiding. Despite his impressive background and clear career aspirations,
Jonathan is facing a decision that could influence his future. I think that even though Jonathan
may not want the offer from his local government, it will certainly help him even though the
local offer may not align perfectly with his long-term goal of working internationally, it presents
a valuable opportunity. He must consider that the local tour guiding is a chance to gain
practical experience and build a solid foundation in the industry. By demonstrating excellence
in the local position by providing exceptional service, it will enhance his resume and make him
a stronger candidate for international positions.

It's important for Jonathan to view this role as a stepping stone towards his ultimate goal of
working abroad with a reputable travel firm. By excelling in the local position and leveraging
the experience gained, he can position himself as a competitive candidate for global roles and
open doors to his desired international career path.
