1. Warm-up Discussion

2. Vocabulary Focus
Career path – the direction your working life takes as you gain experience and skills
Promotion – a move to a higher position or level in a job

Example
One job I would like to have in the future is to be a psychological counselor. This is a person who helps
others with their mental health and emotional problems. I think this job is very meaningful because it supports
people when they are going through hard times.
To become a counselor, I need a university degree in psychology and a professional license. I also need
good listening skills, empathy, and patience.
I want to do this job because I enjoy helping people and I’m interested in human emotions and behavior.
I believe mental health is very important, and I want to make a positive difference in society.
This job fits my career goals because I want to work in a helpful and supportive environment, and keep
learning and growing as a professional.
