SAFETY IN THE FARM

INTRODUCTION

-This portion must be made by yourself. you can research some articles about safety in
the farm but you must rephrase everything and put your own thoughts in the
introduction.

Discuss at least 5 Farm shop tools/equipment hazards and how it should be addressed
to mitigate the hazard/risk to attain farm safety. Provide pictures of each of the farm
shop tools/equipment for visual purposes.

1. Power saw

The hazard of using a power saw is the possibility of arm injury, amputation, abrasions,
cuts, etc when the operation will accidentally put his hands at the power saw blades…

Farm safety measures


The operator must wear proper PPE such as gloves, eyewear protection. Hearing safety
protection equipment. Also The operation should know the set of standards and rules on
how to properly use the power saw to avoid accidents.

Introduction

All farm accidents are tragic and the major or fatal injuries caused by them can have devastating effects

on farming families and communities. By following simple advice and guidance you can help prevent

these incidents from happening on your farm. And course we avoid accidents during work job on the

farm and their farm structures. Agriculture safety is vital to a successful farm operation and cannot be

overlooked. This guide gives a brief overview of different hazardous activities associated with agriculture

and will direct you to educational resources designed to help keep your workers, your family, and

yourself safe.

Objectives

1. raise awareness of the hazards and risks associated with agriculture and how they can be effectively
managed and controlled and accidents and diseases prevented.

2. prevent occupational accidents and diseases and improve the working environment in practice in

Mechanical Hazard
When operation without PPE is a dangerous, such as
corners, edges, points, cutting, surfaces with high surface
roughness, controlled moving unprotected parts.

Mechanical operation we must wear PPE for safety testing is a


specific type of safety evaluation that involves the assessment of
the mechanical aspects of a product, and the conditions under
which a mechanical failure could pose a potential safety risk to
users and avoid vital accident.
