Academic Calendar Effective Fall Term 2003 USIU converted from a Quarter system to a Trimester system. USIU operates on a trimester calendar. The academic year is divided into three trimesters: each 14 weeks in duration (Fall, Spring and Summer). The academic year begins with the Fall trimester. Academic credit is given in Trimester units.
