the space with as much detail as
possible. You can print and write it by
hand or write onto the pdf.

Remember to bring it with you on the first

day back at school in September!
Either on your latop or printed out.
Read a book in English
(ReadBrightly.com is a great place to get
ideas) and tell us about it. E.g.
What was it about, would you recommend it
and why?
The book is called The Super Sunny Murder Club and
each chapter, tells a different mystery of summer, as it
has 13 different mysteries, I am only going to tell the one
that I liked the most which is called the murder of the
dancefloor.

It talks about a group of friends who were on an amusement

park called Astro Towers, were they were going to perform
by dancing as it was the 20th anniversary, also, they were
going to arrive the Fallon sisters, and the duke, which are all
very known dancers at the book. But the Fallon sisters didn't
want that the duke perform as he could take their crew.
They arrive to the bedroom (they must be prepared for the
party at night), as one of the friends, was bored, thought
about the idea of going to the bedroom of the duke. Is when
he finds someone dressed on black running through the
corridor, he gets closer and finds a necklace of real gold
with an A on it. He goes quickly to the bedroom to show
their friends what he found.

The Party is just going to start, they are dressing and

preparing. They get to the function room where the party
was being held, there was a DJ, it was all full of gold
balloons, pretty floral walls and a table full of food and drink.
Some of the friends, get upstairs of the room where you
could see everything that was happening and also, it was
there the table with the food and the drink. Suddenly, he
crashes with the duke, that is when Roman, offer’s the duke
a snack and a drink.

After all of that, the Fallon Sisters start to talk with the duke.
Roman and Roe who were the twins get back again to the
dancefloor, they get back together. They challenged each
other to do dances of Tik Tok. At the moment, the duke fells
to the floor with the glass he was carrying in his hand. All
the people start looking at the duke and saying that could
be the one who poison him as he gave him the snack with
the drink.
The rest of the friends, immediately start investigating
what could had happen and get to the conclusion that
both of the Fallon sisters, were working together. One of
the sisters do a strange drink. When no one was paying
attention, you took the flowers out of your hair and put
them in the glass. Then you took a small bottle out of your
pocket and mixed the liquid with the flowers like some weird
potion. You handed the drink to duke. Thet’s why petals fell
out of the glass once it smashed. The flowers she had on the
hair were hydrangeas, wich are toxic and realise cyanide
when digested.

Finally the police came and took the Fallon sisters, the
autopsy revealed that there was a significant amount of
cyanide in his system. Duke was already dying, and nobody
but Annie (her assistant how gives him his water bottles)
knew. She has been poisoning him for months with her
hydrangea juice that add it at his water bottle.

THE END!!!

Watch a film in English and tell us about it.

E.g. What was it about, would you
recommend it and why?
This summer I didn’t watch many films as I spend lots
of time on the beach, but I did watch the film called
Champions and it’s about a man called Marcos who was
dedicated to be the assistant coach of a professional
basketball team. After a fight with the head coach and a
car accident, Marcos is forced to do 90 days of community
service coaching a team of people with intellectual
disabilities by order of the judge. For Marcos at first is a
torture. But at the end he realizes that the more time
he spends with them, the more he realizes that these
persons with disabilities are
happy and independent beyond their illness. They end
participating in the final of basketball although they didn’t
win, the spend a very good time

I will recommend as you can and watch it with your family

and have lots of laughs.
Tell us about a place that you visited. E.g.
Describe the place.
What did you like about it? Would you
recommend going there?

I went to London with my family, everything was beautiful,

the colourful houses, everything was spoken in English, and
they were also very friendly, they tried to help you however
they could.
There are many monuments to go see, such as Big Ben, a
British cultural icon, a tower clock known for its accuracy
the Lonon Eye, it is the largest observation wheel in the
world, it is 135 m, St. Pancras church, known as an old
construction, Tower Bridge, was completed in 1894, It is
about 240 metres... and many more.
What I liked most about there were the neighbourhoods, the
friendliness, the buildings, the use of cleanliness...
I would highly recommend it since you can go visit it with
your family and have an unforgettable experience with
many anecdotes to tell.
Tell us about the best activity you did.
E.g. When and where did you do it?
What did you enjoy about it?

This summer, I did lots of very fun activity’s but the one
that I most like was to travel, as I travelled this summer a
lot, I went to London, Portugal, Iniesta, Cullera, Ávila…and
many more places. What I enjoy about it, was that I
learned lots of new things, I met new people, the different
languages of each place, traditions that I didn’t know, so
many different monuments...
Tell us about a new person you met this
summer. E.g. How did you meet them?
Why did you like them? What did you do
with them?
This summer I met a new person, she is called…, she is
from Poland.
I meet her at London at the Hyde Park (a very known park
at Central London), where all the Sunday’s, people who
had roller skaters and knew how to skate (or even just
control them), met, put very loud music with speakers and
started to dance. People stop walking to see them dance,
they were even kids of 5-7 years!!
She comes all the days to the park to practice with her
roller skaters, and when me and my family went to walk
to the park, we saw her, she started talking to us and
giving us important tips since she saw that we were
curious about the roller skaters.
In London, now is very common and famous dance with
the roller skaters. Is like a new fashion
I like her because she is a very nice person, who in the
first moment, try to help us.
The next day, we bought two pairs of roller skaters one’s
for my sister and one’s for me. So, we finished skating
with her.

Tell us in detail about your favourite song

of the summer. E.g.
Who was it by, when and where did you
listen to it most?

This summer, I heard lots of songs, but the one that I most
like and the one that I hear the most, is called La Potra
Salvaje It is by Isabel Aaiún, I listen to it during all the
summer. It has pass to be a strange song to be the
principal of the team of the Spanish Selection in its
conquest of the Euro 2024. I hear it in lot’s places: TV,
radio, party’s… This song speaks of freedom, pride and
peace with oneself.
Tell us about your favourite food this
summer. Describe it in detail.
When and where did you eat it most?

My favourite food this summer, was the barbecue we did

with meat, chicken and sausages accompanied with
salad, nachos with guacamole and baked onions.
Everything was delicious, I repeated most of it and at the
end of the meal we couldn't miss a tiramisu cake and
another chocolate cake with hazelnuts.
You tasted like a mix of 100 different flavours, it was a
super cool sensation.
We did it on Picasen when we met with all the family on
the apartment that my cousin have’s.
I just eat it one time on the whole summer as I it was a
special food and to do it you need a barbecue.
Tell us about a funny anecdote from your
summer holiday. E.g. Describe what
happened in detail. Why was it so funny?
This summer occurred a very funny anecdote in Lisboa,
Portugal.
In Portugal is very known pay to get up in a Lisbon tram to
arrive to whatever place you want but mostly people use it
to go uphill and then downhill, it's really for tourists.
So, my dad and me did a challenge, which consists of a
race, going up the hill in wich the tram was also going up,
but we do it running to see if the tram was faster than us or
the other way around. In the end, we won. Woo-hoo!!!! woo-
hoo!!!!
I personally think it was so funny, because you think about
how it can be a human vs tram and we also win despite the
fact that it was going quite fast.
