Introduction
Summer projects are now essen tial for a
 successful career in the 21st cen tury. They
provide studen ts wIth a toolk1t for future
success, including building on current
in terests, developing new skills, and gaining
soft sk1lls like collatboraton and leadership
The School Education Department in West
Bengal plans to design personalized summer
projects for studen ts from cdass 5 to 12,
taking in to considerati on ther in terests and
level, and concep tu alizing the projects around
the school syllabus to deepen knowledge
Objectives
     Encouraging students to step out of school &gain confidence and employabil1ty skills
     Students to acquire skills on Critical thinking. Creatvity. Collaboration &Communication
     Tie up between Govt and Non Govt enttes to create these projects

     Students will improve their understan ding of curricular and co-curricular topics
     Reduced inc1dence of seasonal migration

Note: Students may be taken on Local Visit and/or assigned At Home Projects.

Projects: Suggested Topics
     Write a report based on something that you have learned through the Local Visit
     Conduct asimple experiment at hometo investigate how different liquids (eg water, ol, vinegar)
     Grow a small garden or plant and record the changes you observe over time in ajournal.
     Study the physical features of India, including its mountains, rivers, and coastlines, and create a map of
     the country
     Explore the d1fferent types of soil found in West Bengal, and investigate how they affect agricuture and
    farming
