SUBJECT: ADVERTISEMENT NOTICE FOR FILLING UP VACANT POSTS OF SENIOR
RESIDENT ON ADHOC BASIS THROUGH WALK-IN-INTERVIEW
Walk-in-interview will be held for appointment of Senior Resident on adhoc basis, in
various specialies/departments of this institution, for a period of 89 days and may be extended
further for 89 days, if previous adhoc service found satisfactory or till the post is filled up on
regular basis, whichever is earlier.

NOTE:
In case of non-availability of the candidate for EWS vacant post(s), the
candidates belonging to other categories including un-reserved will be
considered for adhoc appointment or till the post is filed on regular basis,
whichever is earlier, in the interest of patient care. Next
advertisement/recruitment will be done as soon as possible.
Number of Vacancies of the Category advertised in the respective
speciality/department may be increased or decreased at the time of
selection/interview. The number of vacancies, indicated as above, is provisional
and subject to change without any notice.
16 posts of Senior Resident are being reserved horizontally for Persons with
Benchmark Disability (Divyangjan) including backlog vacancies as per DOPT,
Govt. of India Rules.
Persons with Benchmark Disability (Divyangjan) – Only Orthopaedically Handicapped (OL,
OA) are eligible (Medical Certificate from the Govt. Hospital/Institution is mandatory).
Eligibility Criteria: -
The candidates who have passed MBBS/BDS with PG Degree/Diploma/DNB recognized by
NMC/DCI and having registered with Delhi Medical Council/Delhi Dental Council or applied for
registration will be eligible.
ELIGIBILITY FOR ENDOCRINOLOGY - Desired qualification is MD/DNB in Medicine or
Paediatrics.
ELIGIBILITY FOR HAEMOTOLOGY - The candidate should possess MD or equivalent in
Medicine or Paediatrics. Candidate with M.D. or equivalent in Pathology will not be eligible.
ELIGIBILITY FOR MEDICAL ONCOLOGY- The candidate should possess
MD/DNB/Diploma in Medicine OR MD in Paediatrics.
ELIGIBILITY FOR MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY - The candidate should possess MDS or
Equivalent in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
ELIGIBILITY FOR DENTAL SURGERY(Prosthodontics) - MDS in Prosthodontics in
Dental Surgery department.
ELIGIBLITY FOR CRITICAL CARE MEDICINE – MD/DNB/Diploma in
Anaesthesia OR DM/DNB/Diploma in Pulmonary Medicine OR MD/DNB in
Emergency Medicine OR MD/DNB in Internal Medicine OR DM/DNB in Critical Care
Medicine.
ELIGIBILITY FOR EMERGENCY MEDICINE –A post graduate medical degree viz.,
MD/DNB/MS in Medicine/Emergency Medicine/Geriatric
Medicine/Anaesthesiology/Pulmonary Medicine/General Surgery / Trauma Surgery or
qualification recognized equivalent thereto in the discipline/subject. Priority will be
given to Emergency Medicine.
Pay Scale : Rs.67,700/- in Pay Level-11 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC (Pre-revised
PB-3, Rs.15600-39100 + 6600 GP) + Other allowances as admissible as per Govt. of India
Rules.
Age limit : 45 years (For General/EWS candidates)
: 48 years for OBC
: 50 years for SC/ST
: For PwBD candidates - Upper age-limit is relaxable as per Govt. of India
rules.
Mode of Selection: Through walk-in-Interview.
Conditions of Recruitment:
1. Eligible candidates will present themselves for registration on date of walk-in-interview as
per time of reporting mentioned below in the table in Academic Section, Room no.14,
Ground Floor, VMMC Building. They must bring original certificate/documents at the time
of registration along with one set of self-attested copies of all documents in support of their
candidature for the post and one recent passport size photograph & duly filled Application
Form as per Annexure-I.
2. Undertaking in application form must be signed by the candidate.
3. Crucial date for determination of eligibility with reference to age, educational
qualification and experience etc. will be the date of walk-in-interview.
4. The appointment will be initially for a period of 89 days, which could be extended for a
further period of 89 days, subject to the satisfactory work & conduct report from the
concerned HOD. The maximum tenure of Senior Resident will be three years including
any service rendered earlier as Senior Resident on adhoc/regular basis in any Govt. of
India/State Government hospital/institution.
5. Other service conditions will be applicable as per service conditions prescribed from time
to time by the Govt. of India.
6. The candidate who is already employed should submit No Objection Certificate from
present employer. Relieving is required from the present employer before joining.
7. Inter - hospital/Institution transfer shall not be permitted.
8. The candidate must bring following original certificates at the time of interview-
a. Certificate in support of age (10th certificate)
b. Registration with DMC/DDC for both MBBS/BDS and PG.
c. MBBS degree/provisional pass Certificate.
d. MD/MS/DNB/Diploma Degree/provisional Pass Certificate.
e. SC/ ST/OBC Caste certificate in the prescribed format by Govt. of India .
f. EWS candidates to submit copy of Income & Asset Certificate as per Annexure-
III having date of issue on or after 01.04.2024 (valid for year 2024-25) vide OM
No. 36039/1/2019-Estt (Res) dated 31.01.2019 of DOPT, Ministry of Personal &
Public Grievance & Pensions, New Delhi.
g. EWS candidate must bring copy of Form 16 for financial year 2023-24, if he/she
was working during that period
h. Experience certificate, if any.
i. No Objection Certificate, if employed in Central Govt / State Govt / PSUs /
Autonomous Bodies.
**Candidate must submit the latest OBC certificate issued on or after 01-04-2024 by the
competent authority in the format prescribed by DOPT, Govt. of India for appointment to
Central Government posts (as per Annexure-II).
9. Tentative date of joining will be 10 days (approx.) from the date of issue of the result.
10. The candidate has to collect his/her offer of appointment from Academic Section after
display of final result. The offer of appointment shall stand cancelled, if acceptance to
the post is not received within the stipulated time period and the post will be offered to
next available candidate in the waiting list.
