Princess Ornaments – Snow White Crochet Pattern

                           Pattern Details
Size:
The finished princess made with the suggested materials stands approx.
21 cm (8.3 inches) tall. Changing to a different yarn weight and hook
size will result in a different sized doll.
Skill Level Needed:
Intermediate – You have to be familiar with basic crochet stitches – such
as single and double crochet – and with how amigurumi is made and
assembled.
Materials Needed:
4-ply milk cotton in the following colors: color A (1 skein) - white #01,
color B (1 skein) - beige #03, color C (1 skein) - golden #11, color D (1
skein) - black #34, color E (5 grams) - red #09, color F (5 grams) - royal
blue #20, color G (1 m / 3.2 feet) - dark coffee #32
   1.8 mm crochet hook                          One 10 cm wood slice
   Fiberfill (50 grams)                         12*12 cm model grass mat
   Four 10 mm, half round plastic               Scissors

 Use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of each round.
 All stitches are worked in both loops unless stated otherwise in the
     pattern.
 Work in continuous rounds unless it is stated otherwise in the pattern.
 You can either weave in the yarn ends or hide them in the stuffing.
     You can even secure them with a knot if you’d like. It won’t affect the
     finished look.
 When the pattern does not give directions, attach the pieces to
     wherever you want them. You may use the pictures as a guide.

Snow White
Arm x 2
Use color B
Round 1: 7 sc in a magic ring = 7
Round 2-16: 7 sc (15 rounds) = 7
Fasten off, weave the yarn tail in.
Fold two chenille stems as shown in the picture, and insert them into the
arms.
Body and head
Use color A

Trace the base of the body onto a piece of cardboard or plastic and cut
out the circle. Fit it inside the body. Put in 13-14 weighted beads (or
enough the cover the bottom) and start stuffing the body as you go.

Fasten off, cut the yarn. Weave the tail through the front loops of the last
round and pull it tight to close the opening. Hide the remaining tail.
Ear x 2
Use color B
Work in rows.
Row 1: 6 sc in a magic ring = 6
Row 2: tch, 6 sc = 6
Fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing.
Sew the ears on the head between rounds 15-17, counting from the top.
Mark the position of the eyes, eyebrows and nose with straight pins as
such:
 Eyes: between rows 15-16 of the head,
   counting from the top, 11 sts apart
 Eyebrows: 3 rounds above the eyes, 4 sts
  long, 7 sts apart
 Nose: 3 rounds below the eyes, 3 sts long
Use yarn B for the nose (make 4 turns), and
yarn G to embroider the eyebrows and eyelashes. Glue the eyes in
place and embroider the eyeliner.
Apply some blush to the cheeks and eyelids.
Base
Trace the wood slice onto the grass
mat. Place the doll in the middle
and trace its base too (see the
pictures below). Cut out this ring
and glue it on the wood slice.
Dress
Use color A
Work in rows.
Row 1: ch 38, starting from the 7th
chain from the hook 32 sc = 32
The skipped stitches will be our
first buttonhole.
Row 2: tch, (inc, 3 sc) x 8 FLO =
40
Change to color F. Cut yarn A and

weave the tail in.

Change to color C. Cut yarn F and
weave the tail in.                        Cut yarn C and leave a 30 cm (12”)
Row 10: tch, 3 dc in each st FLO =        tail for sewing. Change to color A.

Fasten off, weave the yarn tail in. Turn the dress upside down.
Row 22: Pull up a loop in the first FLO on row 2 of the dress (see the
picture), ch 3, (dc, dc inc) x 16
Fasten off, weave the yarn tail in. Glue row 22 on the dress.
Small bow
Use color E
Work ch 2, hdc, ch 2, sl, ch 2, hdc, ch 2, sl in a magic ring, pull it tight, cut
the yarn. Wrap the tail around the middle two times. Glue the finished
bow to the dress, as shown in the picture.
Put the dress on the doll, and sew the sides of the dress (rows 10-20)
together on the back. Sew buttons on the bodice opposite the
buttonholes.
Hair cap
Use color D
Round 1: 6 sc in a magic ring = 6        Round 4: (sc, inc, sc) x 6 = 24
Round 2: 6 inc = 12                      Round 5: (3 sc, inc) x 6 = 30
Round 3: (sc, inc) x 6 = 18              Round 6: (2 sc, inc, 2 sc) x 6 = 36
Don’t cut the yarn yet.
Strands
Continue crocheting on the hair cap. Work on the wrong side.
Strand 1-7: ch 30, starting from the 2nd chain
from the hook 29 sc, skip 1 st, sl into the next
st (7 strands)
Strand 8-18: ch 33, starting from the 3rd chain
from the hook 31 hdc, skip 1 st, sl into the next
st (11 strands)
Fasten off and weave the yarn tail in.
Pin the strands in place, as seen in the pictures, and glue them to the
head. Make sure that the wrong side of the hair cap is facing up.
Headband
Use color E
Large bow
Work in joined rounds.
Round 1: ch 40, join with sl to form a ring, 40 sc, sl = 40
Round 2-5: ch, 40 sc, sl (4 rounds) = 40
Cut the yarn, leave a 40 cm (16”) tail.
Band
Ch 36, starting from the 2nd chain from
the hook 35 sc. Fasten off and leave a
30 cm (12”) long tail.
Flatten the bow, put it in the center of
the band, and wrap the tail over the middle
several times. Hide the remaining tail.
Put the headband over the head. Thread the
long tail through the head and the opposite
end of the headband. Make a small stitch on
the headband, and thread the yarn through the
same holes you did previously. Knot the yarn
ends together. Hide the knot and the remaining ends.
Attach the finished doll to the wooden base.
