USA

Characteristics :The United States is located on the American continent and is


considered the greatest world power. The country exerts economic, military, political
and cultural influence globally. The 13 stripes of the United States flag represent the
Thirteen Colonies, and the stars represent the 50 states.
Culture and Traditions in the USA
The cultural symbols of the USA echo around the world, and you will certainly recognize most of them:

Day of Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving Day populates our imagination, despite it being a holiday exclusive to the USA, Canada and
the Caribbean islands.
The celebration takes place on the fourth Thursday of November, when everyone comes together to
express affection and gratitude among family and friends.
The holiday also extends to the streets, where it is celebrated with parties, masses, prayers and parades.
Hollywood and Disney
Hollywood films mark generations and dominate the global film industry with their
big box office hits.
In the animation category, Walt Disney is unbeatable, with his eternal Mickey Mouse,
Donald Duck and fairy tales that won over 20th century children.
Music
Black music in the United States was seminal in the
development of countless musical styles, from B.B.
King's blues to Louis Armstrong's jazz, Elvis Presley's
rock and roll and Bob Dylan's folk.
At the forefront of funk was James Brown, while pop
icons such as Madonna and Michael Jackson entered
music history.
Patriotism
It is almost impossible to talk about the United States without remembering the
national flag and its citizens singing the anthem.
In sporting events, films and cultural events, love for country and pride in American
values ​is always present.

Sports DNA
The competitive culture in the USA is strongly associated with sport, which receives tax
incentives from the government and attracts sponsors and spectators from all over the
world.
Some of the sports are: American football, ice hockey, basketball and baseball, which is
considered the national sport of the United States.
