Modern Leather Handbag Pattern Template

Materials Needed:

- High-quality leather (1-1.5 square meters) for body and details

- Contrasting thread for visible stitching

- Metal buckles and rivets for handles and straps

- Cardboard or kraft paper for tracing the pattern

- Cutting tools (scissors, leather cutter, etc.)

Pattern Pieces:

1. Main Body (x2): Rounded rectangle shape, approx. 30 cm wide x 25 cm tall.

2. Side Panels (x2): Curved rectangular panels for sides, 10 cm wide x 25 cm tall.

3. Base Panel (x1): Rectangle for the base, approx. 30 cm x 10 cm.

4. Flap (x1): Rounded trapezoid for flap, approx. 20 cm long and 15 cm wide.

5. Braided Handle (x1): Handle, 2 cm wide x 25 cm long, braided or plain.

6. Adjustable Straps (x2): Long straps for wearing over shoulder, 2 cm wide x 75 cm long.

7. Pocket (optional) (x1): Small rectangle, 15 cm x 10 cm, for an internal or external pocket.

Assembly Instructions:

1. Trace the pattern pieces onto leather and cut each part.

2. Stitch the main body and side panels together, then attach the base panel.

3. Sew the flap onto the back of the main body, ensuring alignment.

4. Attach the braided handle and adjustable straps using rivets and buckles.

5. Add any additional details, such as the pocket or metallic accents.
