I am writing to express my enthusiastic interest in pursuing a PhD in the Department of Material
Science and Engineering at Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech). I am
working as a lecturer (permanent) in the Department of Physics at University of Jhang, which is a
newly established public sector university and with a distinguished academic record, I am eager to
further my academic and research pursuits at Skoltech, a renowned institution at the forefront of
scientific innovation.
My journey in academia commenced with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Physics from
the Department of Physics at Government College University Faisalabad. During my
undergraduate studies, I was driven by an insatiable curiosity for the underlying principles
governing the behavior of matter. This passion, coupled with dedication and hard work, enabled
me to achieve the second-highest CGPA in my batch, a testament to my commitment to academic
excellence.
Subsequently, I pursued a Master of Philosophy in Solid State Physics at the Centre of Excellence
in Solid State Physics, University of Punjab. This pivotal phase of my academic journey provided
me with the opportunity to prepare the samples with different techniques and also worked in
multiferroic lab. Despite the challenges inherent in rigorous research, I maintained a steadfast
focus on academic excellence, ultimately securing the second-highest CGPA in my class.
As a permanent faculty member in the Department of Physics at University of Jhang, My academic
and research experiences have equipped me with a diverse skill set, including critical thinking,
experimental design, and data analysis.
The prospect of pursuing a PhD at Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology represents an
unparalleled opportunity for me to contribute to cutting-edge research in material science and
engineering. Skoltech's interdisciplinary approach to education and research, coupled with its
state-of-the-art facilities, fosters an environment conducive to innovation and discovery.
I am particularly drawn to Skoltech's collaborative research culture, which encourages scholars
from diverse backgrounds to collaborate on solving complex, real-world problems. I am eager to
work alongside esteemed faculty members and fellow students, leveraging our collective expertise
to address pressing challenges in material science and engineering.
Furthermore, I am deeply inspired by Skoltech's emphasis on entrepreneurship and innovation,
and I am keen to explore avenues for translating research findings into practical solutions that have
a positive impact on society. My experiences as a researcher and educator have instilled in me a
strong sense of responsibility to contribute to the advancement of science and technology for the
betterment of humanity.
