What are the things represented by the 1st house of the
Navamansha(D-9) chart?
D9 shows behavior in relationships/marriage, attitude toward spouse in home,
relations with others. So, total dharma(justice) concept lies in D9.
If Sun/Mars is in lagna, would dominate mate. Sun or Mars with benefics
connection to lagna, one becomes a healer and directs their mate in right way.
Sun or Mars with other malefics connection, one directs their mate in wrong
way. Sun in lagna wants at least one thing among - high beauty or high wealth
or high education/intelligence or high status - from spouse, and then control
them. Also, parents may be against native’s marriage.
If Moon/Venus is there, would be soft, with emotional love. Can not deny
anyone.
If it is Moon, then, mental peace only thru being in a relation. Feels happy and
joy when in a relation. If there is no harmonious relation, mind will be affected.
Jupiter makes one sincere and humble in relation. Very fortunate. One
possesses intelligence in dealing relations, saves relations, marriages,
situations. Spouse asks for suggestions.
If Ketu is in lagna, marriage is not for the native, but for spouse; native obeys,
and fulfills wishes of spouse. It doesn’t mean ‘native is stupid’; he/she knowing
everything, puts aside their self/identity; and does their duty. If D9 lagna lord is
not inclined to marriage, then, Ketu encourages a celibate/spiritual life.
Rahu (without aspects of benefics)
Rahu in D9 lagna is like a drunk person who always wants to drink materials,
wealth, resources thru marriage. They expect all high from marriage. Rahu
forgets self/identity when it sees wealth. When rahu is in lagna, Ketu stays in
7th. So, does not value the spouse or does not care about mate. If in D1 chart,
lagna is not affected by Rahu, then, these traits would not affect much.
Saturn in D9 lagna
devoted to spouse, feels responsibility, will take care of the kids, spouse, trash,
etc. sometimes lacks interest in public relations.
Mercury
cost-benefit analysis, more verbal talks, likes communication, always likes to
talk to partner for everything and about every one, struggles to select good
path/selection, etc.
The above effects would also be there even if D9 lagna lord has connections to
the above planets.
If there is no planet in D9 lagna, then, check the first house and its lord
placement, connections, aspects.
Not only marriage, dharma; Navamsa also signifies fortune. So, beneifcs in
lagna ensure good fortune.
