SPEAKING PART
2 These are four types of media used in advertising.

The first is TV advertising. The advantage is that TV covers a wide region, so

it attracts a lot of viewers. The disadvantage is that the goods are not of the
same quality as advertised.

The second is direct mail. The advantage is that direct mail enables
businesses to promote their products and services to a specific customer
group. The disadvantage is that some people dislike marketing mail and will
discard it.

The third is pay-per-click. The advantage is that you only pay when a user
actually reaches your website and clicks on advertisements. The
disadvantage is that you need to spend a lot of time improving your
pay-per-click campaign.

The last is billboard advertising. The advantage is that billboards can be

seen by everyone every day. The disadvantages are that billboards can be
damaged by the weather, and people don't spend much time looking at
them.
SPEAKING PART

These are four ways to finance a new business.

The first is using all your own money. The advantage is that you remain in full
control of the business. The disadvantages are that it has a much higher risk and
limited resources.

The second is raising money from your family and friends. The advantage is that
you still maintain good control over the company. The disadvantages are that it
puts family and friends at risk, has personal consequences in case of failure, and
has limited resources.

The third is borrowing money from a bank. The advantage is that you have a
chance of receiving considerable funding. The disadvantages are that it has a high
rate of interest, and money can be recalled from the bank.

The last is raising money from venture capitalists. The advantage is that you can
receive advice and help based on their own experience. The disadvantage is that
you give away a large amount of equity in the business to secure funding.
