Preface (For main parts)
This parts manual contains the service main parts used in the hydraulic excavator.
Refer to the “Engine parts manual” issued separately for the engine service parts.
The reference to “right-hand” and “left-hand” in the manual is defined by the operator sitting in the position
for proper operation when the track idler is located front.
Use “Sumitomo’s parts” in the Sumitomo’s hydraulic excavator, which are of high quality and best suited to the
products.
Ⅰ. How to order the parts.
1. When ordering, specify clearly “Machine model, Machine serial No., Part No., Part name and Quantity
required”.
It will be convenient to you, if you enter your Machine model, Machine serial No., Machine delivered year,
month and date to the form shown below beforehand.

2. Supply term of the service parts.
The term of the service part supply is ten (10) years after the discontinuation of the production for the
machine model.
But, even in the production period, it may happen to set the new delivery term in some cases. When any
service parts be required for the machine after the model production term is expired and be ordered, we will
accept the order subject to the delivery term and price required to the part production.
Ⅱ. Notes.
1. As the illustrations provided in this manual are for reference only since the position • shape of the respective
part are shown in proper relation to each other without any hindrance for placing order, refrain from using
them only with this manual for the maintenance work of the excavator.
2. Changes to the product may make it necessary to revise or add pages to this manual, for which
announcement will be followed.
3. The parts described in this manual will be changed (including changes in the option), or deleted, without
any prior notice.
Ⅲ. Abbreviation of part names.
Following abbreviations are used for the part name in this manual:
LH : Left side
RH : Right side
T : Thickness
ASSY : Complete assembly part
S/A : Subassembly part
OPT : Option
HYD : Hydraulic
SPL : Special product
REV : Swing related part
PRESS : Pressure
ATT : Attachment
Ⅳ. How to read the part manual.
CONTENTS are described in the below summary:

MODEL Shows the entered machine model name. Upper center of the page
BOOK NO. Shows the kind of the book. Upper center of the page
SERIAL NO. Shows the first serial No. of each machine Upper center of the page
model.
AREA Shows the first classification of the item Top of the CONTENTS
described in the part manual.
NAME Shows the name of the part page. 2nd column of the CONTENTS page
PART PAGE CODE Shows the classification number given to Center column of the CONTENTS
each item. page
PPC EDITION NO. Shows the number of the edition made for Right side in the PART PAGE CODE
the part page. column
SERIAL NO. Shows the machine serial number to Right of the PART PAGE CODE
which the part page code is applied. column
CHANGE Mark * is given to the change made after Right of the SERIAL NO. column
the previous edition was issued.

PPC NAME Shows the name of the part page. Left side in the upper frame of
the page.
PPC CODE Shows the classified No. given to each item. Right side top in the upper
frame of the page.
PPC EDITION NO. Shows the number of the edition of the part page. Right in the PPC Code.
ITEM This is the reference number showing each part in the 1st column of the list.

COMPO Shows the part level and whether it has the 2nd column of the list.
