Ladder Tournament
In a ladder league, players are arranged like rungs of a ladder. Players can
challenge one another to a match. As a player wins or loses, the player
moves up or down in position on the ladder. The goal of a ladder league is
to be at the top.
Pyramid Tournament
This type of challenge tournament is recommended for a large number
of individuals. Players may challenge any player horizontally. Winners
may challenge opponents in the row above.

Multilevel Tournament
The multilevel tournament is similar to a single-elimination tournament; in fact, at
the top level they are the same. However, in a multilevel tournament, a player is
not eliminated following a loss but simply moves down one or more levels of play
into the consolation rounds.
