PAIONIOS

The Healing Moon Goddess

She is the darkness, and she is the fire.
She is the cry of "enough."
She is the sigil written in stone.
She is the silent walking away of the betrayed.
She is the lonely raising arms to the moon.
She is the lie told to live the truth.
She is the secret circle drawing down her moon.
She is the poison that heals.
She is the bold stare into the mirror.
She is the blood shed to bring rebirth.
She is all those who dare to become.
She is the power that is our right.
She has returned.
Answer her call.
The time is now.
Speak the truth.
Be healed.

The ubiquity of the approach/avoidance duality is also found in
magic. Probably the most common application is working with
the different phases of the lunar cycle. I can use the energy of
the waning moon to help with spells of avoidance. These are the

comes with the waxing moon – that energy is for things that I
want closer to me. This is approach energy. Full Moon energy is
a balance of both approach and avoidance energy. The Dark
Moon can be interpreted as the absence of both. – Keeping Her

Moon goddesses: artemis, hekate, selene
Come here to me, goddess of night, beast-slayer,
And heed my prayers, Selene,
Who rises and sets at night, Triple Headed, Triple Named.
Mistress of Night and the Underworld, sacred.
'Round whom the star-traversing nature of the universe spins.
Give heed to me, Lady, I ask of you.
You have established every worldly thing,
For you engendered everything on earth
And from the sea and every race in turn.
Of winged birds who seek their nests again.
Mother of all, who bore Love, Aphrodite.
Lamp-bearer, shining and aglow, Selene.
