Hekate’s Spell Work

Sought for revelation, divination, and used in other magics or summoning other gods. Sexual
attraction, memory, foreknowledge, and released from other spells. Also to inflict harm on
enemy and silence competitors. Used to imbue amulets or charms. Spell casting is used to
change aspects of your life. This goddess of witchcraft is often invoked to help with spell
work.

Begin with an offering, keeping it personal is key, Hekate often loves garlic and honey, wine,
cakes, dogs, oxen, keys, candles, onions, snakes, oak wood, leaves, acorns, herbs.

Cleansing self of negativity

On waning or new moon
Take a black candle and etch into it what you want to be removed from your
life
Before lighting rub it over your body and recite the following chant
“in the name of the dark goddess, the blessed mother, the sacred serpent
I shed this foul luck, like the creature sheds its skin”
Burn this candle all the way down, do not leave it alone and do not
extinguish, the commitment to the burn is your commitment to removal.
Take the cooled wax to a garbage at a corner of a crossroads, and return
home without looking back
Make an offering to Hekate on your return.
Hekate Moon Water
Capture reflection of moon in a bowl of water. Set a bowl out for 3 days
corresponding to the lunar event’s energy you wish to capture. The night
before the moon you wish to imbue, the night of, and the night after.
Add pinch of salt, essential oil that aligns with your intention, and a quartz
crystal
Incantation “Hekate, mistress of the night, kiss this water for magical might”

Make an offering each night you capture water
Protection Spell
Image of thing you want to protect & wrap it in cotton or silk
Place into a glass jar, seal the jar, & place a black candle on top of the jar
Light the candle and recite this prayer
“As the dark of the new moon plucks the great Saleen
May the blessed darkness prevent evil harm or misfortune from finding _
may they be held in Hekate’s sacred hands, in safety peace and blessings”
Make offering
Fertility spell
Capture moon water,
Sprinkle over herbs

Use moon water
Take a bulb of garlic and whisper what you want it to be

Create image of Hekate with torches
Place image inside of glass jar,

While burying repeat the incantation

The Three Night Honour of Hekate (to end on the new
moon)
Go to a crossroads of 3 roads
Leave an offering and place the white or black candle and say
“The sister, the daughter, the mother,
The lover the cousin the child
The one who sees, who watches, the one from afar
Stand with me in this moment and I will stand with you”
Light the candle and walk away. DO NOT LOOK BACK
The next day take a walk and gather 3, 6, or 9 leaves that you feel
drawn to
Write down traits that inspire a power in you
Use a glass jar and place the leaves inside with an image of meaningful
trinket of yourself
Place a symbol or image of the moon on the lid
Bring the jar to you chest and say:
“Hekate the daughter, the mother, the sister, the aunt
Stand with me while the ground shakes
Remind me of my crown
A witch I am, A witch I will be
From the stars, to the grave
And all in between”
Seal and store in a safe place.
On new Moon invoking the Torch Barer
Place an effigy of Hekate on Dark cloth
Encircle with 3 candles
Offer wine or pomegranate
Say this incantation each time you light a candle
“As demeter cried or Persephone
As Persephone cried for demeter,
So I cry to Hekate, Torch Barer, Light my way, Light my way

Write in bio degradable paper and bury it

In a cemetery or grave of someone you know. Or leaving the pape in A glass
