Subject: Request for Assistance with Marriage Documentation
Dear Sir,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to address an issue concerning the documentation required
for my upcoming marriage. Specifically, I have been unable to obtain a letter from the parish priest of St
Michael Church necessary to attend the marriage preparation classes and proceed with the sacrament
of marriage mass.
Despite my efforts and attempts to resolve this matter, both the parish priest and the bishop have been
unable to provide a solution. This unfortunate situation arises from a legal dispute between my father
and the parish priest, as well as the bishop, regarding the alleged illegal dissolution of the parish council
at our church.
I want to clarify that I am not involved in any way in this legal dispute between my father and the parish
priest. I have been a separate and independent member of the church, faithfully contributing through
separate financial support ("tax") since the age of 18. My commitment to the church and its values
remains steadfast.
According to Canon law (கத்ேதா க்க ச்சைப ன் நிய ச் சட்டம் ), parish priests are
required to announce the banns of marriage as usual for three times, and both parish priests and
bishops do not have the right to deny marriage to a Roman Catholic Christian under any circumstance.
I respectfully request your immediate intervention in this matter. Therefore, I urge you to direct the
bishop and the parish priest to promptly provide the necessary documents for my marriage. And, I
request that you give explicit direction for the banns of marriage to be announced in accordance with
Canon law. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response and a
resolution.
