Page maker is used to do following works:-
1. Bill book designing
2. Letter head designing
3. Page setting for newspaper, newsletters and book
This software was developed by Adobe Company of USA.
Req. steps to start adobe Page maker:-
1. Press window key + R key.
2. Type Pm70.
3. Press enter key.

1. The toolbox includes tools for creating or editing objects
2. Margins appear as dotted or pink lines
3. A page icon shows the master pages (left or right ) and the regular pages in the
publication
4. Ruler help to align objects on the page
5. The colour and style palettes are uses to add delete and edit colours and styles
6. The pasteboard stores items for later use
7. Control palette – the control palette provides command for change text and graphics
measurement.
Viewing the page – page maker offers a number of views of your document pages. When a new
document is created it is displayed in the fit in window view.
To change the view size
Click on view menu and select desired option as –
Zoom in – displays the page at the next higher magnification
Zoom out – displays the page at the next lower magnification.
Entire paste board – shrink the page to a postage stamp size and shows the entire contents of the
paste board.
Actual size – (ctrl + 1) – use this view when adjusting lines, text or graphics or when typing text on a
page.
Fit in window – (ctrl + 0) – shows the full page

8. Selection tool – This tool is used for selecting a text or graphics
9. Text tool – this tool is used to prepare a text area where text can be writing.
10. Move tool – This tool is used to move an object.
11. Crop tool – This tool is used to crop a graphics.
12. Line Tool – This tool is used to draw a vertical or horizontal line. Before using this tool
hold shift key down.
13. Rectangle box and Frame – This tool is used to draw a rectangle box.
14. Ellipse and ellipse frame – This tool is used to draw ellipse.
15. Pentagonal box and frame – This tool is used to draw pentagonal drawing and star.
16. Magnification tool – This tool is used to magnify an object.
17. Hand tool – This tool is used to place the publication page in desired position.
