Principle Plan in applying the principles in your classroom

Assessment is both a process and a product Topic: Recycling of waste materials
Learning competency: Recycles the identified
products/waste material into functional items.
Activity: I will let my students to bring any recyclable
materials. The students will create different kinds of
product using waste materials. After they finish their
activity they are going to display it or post it in social
media to sell.
Assessment should focus on higher order cognitive Topic: gathering and organizing information using ICT.
outcomes Learning competency: explains the advantages and
disadvantages of using online tools to gather data.
Activity: Essay writing
(In your opinion, what are the advantages and
disadvantages of using online tools to gather data?
Justify your answer). Through this activity the students
will able to use their higher order thinking skills to
answer the question.
Assessment can include a measure of non-cognitive Topic: Self Responsibility (HOME ECONOMICS)GRADE 5
learning outcomes Learning competency: Self responsibility during
puberty or adolescence.
Activity: students will be group into two groups and
they will list a d demonstrate their self-care practices.
Such as fitness challenge and nutrition or meal
planning challenge. In this activity students can use
their ability and skills to demonstrate in class on what
are their self-care routines and in meal practices as
adolescence.
Assessment should reflect on real-world context Topic: self responsibility
Learning competency: Self responsibility during
puberty or adolescence.
Activity: Divide the class into small groups and assign
each group a different topic, such as online safety,
cyber bullying, and self-care. Provide students with
resources such as articles, videos, and interactive
websites to help them gather information. Have each
group create a presentation or poster summarizing
their findings and sharing tips for everyone. In these
activity students will look outside the box, in this way if
they encounter same problems in real then they have
now the idea on how to make ways to solve it.

Assessment must be comprehensive and holistic Topic: Planting vegetables


Learning Competency: able to conduct a survey to
find out the vegetable plants that can be planted:
according to the area, season, needs, and wants of
consumers that can be profitable.
Activity: Written assessment
Students could be asked to create a survey plan
outlining the steps they would take to gather
information on profitable vegetable plants. This could
include identifying different types of vegetables and
consumer preferences.
Students make a survey in their local area to gather
information on profitable vegetable plants. This would
allow them to apply their knowledge in a real-world
setting and demonstrate their ability to collect and
analyze data effectively.
Assessments leads to students learning Throughout the process of conducting the survey,
students should receive feedback on their progress
and have opportunities to reflect on their learning. This
could include peer discussions, teacher feedback, or
self-assessment activity. At the end of the activity,
students should be given the chance to reflect on
their overall learning and identify areas for
improvement. This could take the form of a written
reflection or a group discussion about the lessons
learned from the survey process.
