Xcar-Style assumes no liability for any damage or injury due to the

installation (installation errors, damage to the system due to mechanical influences
and surges, changes to the supplied components) caused and / or operation of the
module.

Please note that the functions of the module are supplied with the necessary caution
and should be used only in the context of the current traffic laws. By installing and
commissioning the module, you can lose your vehicle and use the product in the
insurance!

The module uses only original existing features in the vehicle. All of the top
management-related data (eg limit switches, speed) are continuously
monitored. There remain all standard safety features (under / over voltage
shutdown, overload and thermal protection, etc.) are obtained.

Note: When you make electrical connections, that they are not bent or twisted and do
not rub on edges. Insulate all connections. Secure the cable against mechanical
stress caused by cable ties or electrical tape, for example to existing lines or vehicle
parts.

We recommend that you perform the installation of the module with one of our
installation partners or from a car dealer.

Do you want to install the module, be sure to check out the entire installation and
operating instructions. Make yourself familiar with the necessary security measures
and regulations, and pull off basically always the key before you begin the
installation!

Requiered tools for the installation:

• Small flat screwdriver or sharp object
• Pliers.

Installing the module
Open the top until it is in the position
„Serviceposition“ shown on the left and then release the
button.

Turn off the ignition und pull the key.

Open the Luggage compartment

separation.

Pull off the black trim as shown (right side

of the trunk) in the same direction. The
panel has three "noses" which are just
stucked.

Remove the cover (1). This is locked in
place with two clamps and can be easily 2 2
pulled off the top.

To remove the entire section, you can

remove the two plastic rivets (2).

Here, first pry the inner part. After that, the

actual rivets are removed.

Remove more rivets, which are located at

the marked locations and take the whole
plastic casing from the vehicle.

Remove the black plug of the selected
device. To do this, press in the locking lug
and place around the mounting bracket.

Remove the pin bar from the removed

connector housing.

To do this, press the two latches on the

front side of the plug away to the outside
and pull the pin bar.

Next, remove about 10 cm of the fabric

belt which is wound around the cable. The
further steps can be performed more
easily.

At the thick brown wire you have to
connect one of the delivered wire tap.
Push the wire tap with pliers firmly
together so that the lock engages.

At the now installed wire tap, connect the

cable terminal from the brown wire of the
wiring harness.

Remove the following pinned lines of the

pin bar. (Be sure that the individual pins do
not touch!)

To do this, use a small screwdriver and

push the small latch (1) and pull gently on 2
the respective line, until the pin slips out
slightly.

Push the small letch (2) and pull gently on

the respective line until the pin slips
completely out.

Pins to be removed:

The four just pulled lines have to be

installed in the two CAN connectors until
they snap into. Press in the retaining tab.

Connect the plug 1 the connector of the
delivered wiring harness, which leads the
colors grey and yellow.

Plug 2 has to be connected with the

connector which leads the lines which are
colored blue and black.

The four individual pins have to be pluged

in the vacant pins of the connector.

The following table shows the

corresponding slot. Make sure that the
pins snap into place when inserting it.

Put back the pin-bar into the plug housing

and bring the electrical connector on the
controller. Make sure that the locking clip
is again turned over completely.

Remove the selected control unit from the

Styrofoam tray and add to the thin red line
a wire tap. To do this just make the same
as at the brown wire.

The red line is the 12V+ power supply.

Plug the cable terminal from the red wire

of the wiring harness to the now installed
wire tap at the red line.

Plug the controller back into the styrofoam

box and plug in the supplied module to the
free connector on the installed harness.

Function test

Remove all items from the range of motion of the top and the windows
and close the luggage compartment separation.

Now test the OneTouch feature by pressing the top button inside the car when the
ignition is switched on. Hold it for about one to two seconds. If everything is
connected properly, the top will open until the end position.

Remote control by pressing the key three times about every second on "Open". If the
module is correctly connected to the hood should open automatically.

If both features are given, place the module in one of the Styrofoam trays next to the
control units and install all the trim parts in reverse order.

Overview of features
Monitor operation each using of the module and make sure that no
persons or objects are in the range of motion of moving parts.

Remote control

Press three times (within three seconds) the "Open" or "Close” button on the remote
control key. The corresponding feature is activated and opens / closes the top
automatically. Following the side windows will be also closed.

A four pressing causes the side windows remain open after the folding process.

Emergency-stop:
If you push a button on the remote key while the top operation is in use, the process
will be stopped immediately. Depending on the position of the top, it can be lowered
automatically.

Comfortfeatures:

While the top is activated by the remote, you can start the engine and drive.

If the top is opened, a three times pressing the „Open“ button on the remote will open
the side windows.

OneTouch

This feature allows you that you need to hold the top switch in the vehicle only for
about one second to activate the top operation. The activated process is performed
to completion automatically. The side windows will be closed afterwards.

If the roof button will touched once briefly, then released and touched again for one second,
the top process is also performed. The side windows will not be closed afterwards. They will
stay open.

SpeedX

This feature allows the top operating up to a speed of 55 km/h.

At the programming menu you can choose between maximum speed 35, 45 and 55
km / h. By default, the module is programmed at 35 km/h.

Window-Remote:

To open the side windows by remote control, press the "Open" button on the remote
control key twice.

For the Close method use the “Close” button.

Emergency-Stop:

If during the window remote feature a button on the remote control will be pressed
the process will be stopped immediately.

Note:
When using this function, and simultaneously activated as standard entry through
BMW, it can cause problems. If you want to use the remote control window, please
disable the closure of the central comfort in the vehicle (for details of the user manual
of your vehicle can be seen)

WindowComfort:

By briefly pressing the window switch panels (all windows) in the driver's door
window all go into their final position (open or closed). The switch panel must not be
kept longer.

Emergendy-Stop:
The process can be stopped immediately by pressing the button again.

Automatic mirror:

With the closing of the vehicle, the mirror will be folded and unfolded automatically
upon opening.

Electrically exterior mirrors are requiered.

AutoUnlock:

With switching off the ignition, the lock (when starting the vehicle again) will be
released.

Mainswitch:

If required, the module can be completely disabled.

Programming the module

To enter the programming mode, follow theese steps:

• Top must be closed

• Ignition must be turned on
• Push 3x top switch „close“ inside the car
• Warning flasher bill be turned on
• Turn on the codes from the attached table

If no input for 10 seconds, the module automatically terminates the programming

mode

Deaktivating the module: In the programming mode pull the „close“ button for at least
2 seconds.

Aktivating the module: In the programming mode push the „close“ button for at least
2 seconds.

The default settings are highlighted in color!

Would you like to make several settings, you must enter the programming menu
separately for each function.
