HackVSIT 5.0
A hackathon is an event—typically lasting 12 to 36

hours—where people come together (mostly as teams)

to solve a problem or identify new opportunities. The

word ‘hackathon’ is a combination of ‘hack’ and

‘marathon,’ i.e., a marathon for hackers. ‘Hackers’

here doesn’t refer to the people who hack/work in the

security domain, but to all the developers participating

in the event.

The goal of a hackathon is often to build a working-

prototype, or proof-of-concept, of a product or feature

in a short amount of time, and to have fun, improve

skill sets, and network while at it.

Hackathons attract a diverse range of participants,

including hackers from various fields like Software

Development, Graphic Design, UI/UX Design, Data

Science, Policy Analysis, Entrepreneurship, Law,

Business

Mr. Ayon Roy, Mr. Ashish Sapra, and Mr. Pawan

“Hello there, so I am Hemant Kathuria, vice prezi for batch 23-24. This one

year as VP has been such a roller coaster which everyone should experience

in their life, at least once. It was so much fun while also being so tough at

the same time. These three years in VIPS are more like three years in ACE.

ACE has changed my life for so much better that I can't imagine my life if

ACE wasn't a part of it.

A little ADVICE for THE FUTURE MEMBERS: Don't be ever shy to talk, or

present your thoughts, or network. Communication and networking is the

main key to opportunities. Enjoy as much as you can because you are in

college once. Always trust your gut no matter how much the world pushes

you to change”

“My journey in ACE went from craving eureka moments while working on
projects, to laughing together in general meets. I learned that leadership is
not only about achieving goals but about sharing moments too. The
community has given me so much. I got to learn with my people. I am so
grateful to have been a part of such a community filled with opportunities
and memories!

Thank you, ACE”
