1. Higher living costs are affecting both individuals and society in a number of ways. On an
individual level, many people, particularly those living in big cities these days, cannot keep up
with the rising costs of living and therefore have to have more than one job in order to make
ends meet. As a result, these people barely have any time left for leisure activities and could
even be more prone to negative medical conditions like depression or anxiety disorder. On a
societal level, rising living costs can cause people with financial problems to turn to crime in
order to make more money. For example, in some Asian countries where the monthly salary of a
police officer is very low, many of them turn to corruption to make enough money.
2. Individuals need to learn how to budget their income more effectively, and be careful not to
waste money. By adhering to a strict budget, people will be able to pay their bills and save
money to cover other expenses.

1. Đề bài: It is difficult for people in the cities to get enough physical exercise. What are the causes
and solutions?
Câu quan điểm: This essay will analyze some of the reasons as well as propose some feasible solutions to
this concern.

Cause: A large proportion of the city population devote all their time to working and such a
commitment reduces the amount of spare time and energy for exercising.
Cause: The sedentary lifestyle that many young people nowadays prefer is another contributor
to this issue.
Solution: A new law that shortens the average working hours should be introduced. If workers
are allowed to leave work early, they will be able to spend time pursuing healthy activities and
habits.
Solution: More financial resources should be allocated to educating city residents, especially the
young generations, about the paramount importance of physical exercise.
2. Đề bài: The users of social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, are replacing face-to-face contact
in this century. Do you think the advantages of this way outweigh the disadvantages?
Câu quan điểm: From my perspective, the drawbacks of this trend totally overshadow its merits.

Positive: Regardless of geographical distance, people from most places on the planet can send
messages or make use of video calls to keep in touch with their loved ones, eliminating the need
for people to gather in one place for face-to-face conversations.
Positive: In terms of business, thanks to the invention of online-based communication tools,
including Facebook and Viber, people working in enterprises can conduct their meetings via the
internet, also eliminating the need for people to be in the one place to conduct a meeting.
Negative: In the long term, this would gradually alienate people from communities, which could
even lead to social isolation and a lack of many interpersonal skills.
Negative: Literacy skills of many people could also be negatively affected due to the lack of social
interaction and ways to transmit formal messages.
