A/ Comprehension
Read the text carefully, then do the activities

Dear Ihsan,
I found your email through an international exchange program, and I saw that you're from Morocco.
I'm really excited to know someone from such a beautiful country! My name is Emily, and I’m from
Vancouver, Canada. I’m 15 years old, and I live with my dad and my twin brother, James. In my free time, I
enjoy photography, skateboarding, and baking cookies.
Our home is near a beautiful park, where I often go to take pictures. I love nature, especially the forests
and mountains that surround our city. On weekends, my family and I like to go hiking or take short trips to
nearby lakes. Vancouver is close to the Pacific Ocean, so sometimes we even go sailing!
I’m in my second year of high school. I like studying English and geography, but I’m not a big fan of
chemistry—it’s too complicated! After school, I usually volunteer at an animal shelter. It’s such a rewarding
experience to help care for dogs and cats.
In the evenings, I usually spend time listening to music, or hanging out with James. We often challenge
each other to video games, though he usually wins! During holidays, we sometimes visit my cousins in
Toronto, and we always have a great time together.
I’d love to know more about your life and interests! I’ll attach some photos from my latest trip in my
next email. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Bests,
Emily
