Sub: Show cause Notice- Absconding Notice On Continuous Absence And Abandonment Of
Employment Without Notice or Intimation.
As per the employment agreement signed by you with our company, you are under
obligation to notify the management of absence due to illness within 3 days, and send any medical
sheet from a certified medical practitioner.
It has been noted that; without any properly applied leave, without authorized absence or
sanctioned leave, without any proper communication explaining your absence, you have been
continuously absent from duty since 7th August 2023 with no prior intimation or information to
the company. It is only after we tried to contact you that you said you have a stomach upset. You
were notified to apply for sick leave online and send any medical sick notes but have neither
responded to our request or messages nor reverted on the request for support documents.
This action is a breach of your employment contract.
You are thus notified of the below expectations or instructions, that you:
a) Report to work on Monday, 7th August 2023
b) Provide medical documents to support your invalidity claim
c) show cause in writing, as to why disciplinary measures should not be taken against you for
failure to report to work without sanctioned leave or applying for and supporting a medical
leave, if valid and genuine.
Should we not get any response to (a) above, plus, a satisfactory reply from your end in
writing with reasonable satisfactory supporting documents (if required) for (b) above by 7th
August 2023, then the management will have no option but to consider that you have abandoned
your employment by breaching your employment contract by terminating it without notice.
Management also reserves all its right to take disciplinary or legal actions against you for
compensation for any loss incurred by your misconduct and breach of contract.
