Souls Conversation And the darkness shrouds,

“Do you hear them call?” Both the sight and sounds.“
“Are we all, all thralls?” “In the Void’s homelands,
“Oh, I know we are, All choice reprimands,
we can’t stray far, No one else holds sway,
From the well-tred way, So there justice lay.”
For we must obey.” “But who are they?”
“But why must we stand?” “What do they say?”
“Do as they demand?” “And how do you know,
“Why are we still slaves, Who they are, where they go?”
When the seven rave?” “In all life they stand,
“Because we are men, As a reprimand,
I’ll say once again, They say all you do,
Because all we hear, All they are is you,
Is just what we fear.” They are life and death,
“If we fear the flame, Both the blood and breath,
Then it comes to claim, They are every thought,
If we fear the frost, All that you have wrought,
Then to ice is lost, They are all unmade,
If we fear our lives, Every stone unliad,
Then for them it strives, The light and dark together bound,
And so that, I say, The sun and stars we never found,
Is why we must stay.“ The waters before they could flow,
“But why must they rule?” The will and choice we cannot know.
“For they are so cruel.” And so all life shall know,
“All that we have done, Who they are, where they go.
Burned away, their sun.” —The Shadowskald
“Only one is cruel.
You should know, you fool, Fallen Insurrection
Only wrought of rage, Rise up, rise up, and spread your wings,
Wars from malice wage.“ The fallen one, still righteous, sings,
"One is kind, you’ll see, The serpent's venom ows and burns,
Though you are not free, But there’s something no sin discerns.
She will guard your form, The fallen rise in growing number,
From her brother's storm.” Fought by ash and burning ember.
“By the shifting one, All the angels up above,
All the harm undone, Struck down by sight, a crimson dove.
Though the change is hard, All the ends below the earth,
And there is no ward.” Have countless scars yet prove no worth.
“Should the solid earth, Between, in twilight, thousand stand,
Make you prove your worth, The fallen, risen, all demand,
You shall win renown, The world, unclaimed, shall be rewrought,
When your scars are shown.” All the lands obey a thought.
“See the brightest light, The angels all demand a place,
Piercing through your sight, Within the heights, of silk and lace.
Now he stole your lies, The demons, devils, claim a home,
So you see the skies.” Of pressure, pain, where none will roam.
“As the shadows stalk, The fallen, cast of ash and fear,
Through the night you walk, Theirs alone, a world they rear.
The feral ones, and those instead, When did new anger come to kill?
No evil wrought, no fear have bred, When did the stars subdue the sun?
Shall come to claim what others earn, When did I realise none have won?
And soon they shall in battle learn.
When did dusk begin to burn?
The Fallen, risen, the Risen who fell,
When did dawn the shadows earn?
Between wrought a heaven, who scarred them found Hell.
—The Shadowskald When I awoke to every soul,
And felt the chaos and the law.
My Paradise When the broken become whole,
Why do these angels all oppress? And the beauty was the aw.
Why is heaven made to stress? When the ame became the coal,
Why do these demons give release? And the dark was where I saw.
Why is good so hard to please? —The Shadowskald
I once believed In kindness, why was kindness lost?
Because the world was twisted, the ame became the Travails
frost. So I began climbing,
So, angel, heaven, I refuse thee. Fighting and lying,
Afraid of dying,
Demon, Devil, I release thee.
All for a broken crown.
Why should I obey?
No one here can say. And I climbed so high,
Because the tricks of hell, When I could not y,
No worse, less well, Still afraid to die,
Than all heavens stress, And there was no way back down.
Will never regress.
So I kept ghting,
Between I’ll live, by sweat and blood,
Angel falling,
Through rain or shine, drought or ood,
Demon rising,
To forge a world of painful bliss, With my foes all around.
A world that all who leave shall miss.
—The Shadoskald Stuck on the cli side,
Fighting as I slide,
Declaration Down to the edge of the rise.
When does the darkness become the light?
Now I’ve been abandoned,
When does the day become too bright?
Trust having moved on,
When did the call become so strong? Love now what I despise.
When did my right become my wrong?
When did I feel the end’s distress? I’ve begun burning,
When did my will give up and rest? Blazing and learning,
When my anger, spent, has left me, Tears cold as the starry skies.
And all my allies banished.
Then I charged forward,
When all the world bears down upon me, Black burning onward,
And all my trust has vanished. Hatred as my guard,
When all the shadows fade around me, Anger my nal drive.

The spreading frost, Ballad of the Dark Dream

Blue shade of loss, I dreamed a dream, where I alone,
The weakness makes you strong. Stood on a mount of bloodied bone.
Upon that mount, I raised a hand,
Consuming ame, And spoke a word, a reprimand.
The ercest claim, The mountain shook, the dead returned,
Crimson burn away the wrong. To face a home where darkness burns.
— The Shadowskald One of the conquered walked nearby,
Searching for truth, while chained by lies.
Aberraea’s Confession Her skin was ash, her blood was ame,
They say I still feel emotion, Her voice could heal, her touch would maim.
That I have just lost my way. She showed a way, a path of pain,
That the way will come, sooner then is told, Through all echoed a soft refrain,
That joy will come back in full form. Her trail led to a gate of ice,
Opening on dark paradise,
But reality hits hard, Where no one walked, for few could bear,
When it’s only a dream. To stand beyond the sunlight's glare.

Speaker’s Song Beware.
I hear an echo deep inside,
The place the truest monsters hide, Hearth of Frost
The rhythm found where life resides, I stand before the hearth of frost,
Gives the world something denied. Home of hatred, love of lost,
We face the hatred of our own,
I voice the sounds and secrets heard, Upon that frozen, bleeding stone,
Translate all to forceful word, And see a shining star descend,
The whispers join, and they concurred, To strike with crystal claw and rend.
They have died, the beast and bird. —The Shadowskald

Ne'er a product of my mind, Echo’s Promise

The song's the shadow's, unde ned, There's a rhythm that I sing,
But see the wrath where darkness shined, Echoing and echoing,
Is joined with kindness deep enshrined. But I can’t speak the sound I hear,
—The Shadowskald For no word tells what my soul sears.
The Song is fondness, kindness, love, My herald speaks your promise,
The heartbeat of a dying dove, My anger is your ward.
The warmth of sunlight owing down, My oath shall be your armour,
The gentle moonlight's glowing crown. defending as you rise,
The Echo is a wrathful vow, And should you need a weapon,
A promised death, nearing now, I o er you his lies.
The key held by you alone, I swear to lift you higher,
To unlock my heart of stone. And to stand near at hand,
The Whole is a promise made, So we shall walk the heavens,
To guard and serve with soul and blade, Till we shall rule the land.
So stand nearby and keep my trust, —The Shadowskald
That our foes return to dust.
—The Shadowskald Songs of the Angels
Song of a wrathful angel,
A Vassal’s Oath Sounding proud and strong,
I o er you a throne, and o er up a crown, Sing who drew your ire,
Just swear to me now, that you won't let me down. And who did you the wrong.
I o er up my heart, and hearth, and home,
Just promise that you won't leave me alone. Song of a gentle angel,
I o er you an oath of mind and soul, Swift and soft and kind,
To bind me broken, bind me whole, Sing of mended tempers,
In sister-, brother-hood of kyn, And of the broken mind.
Both to lose, and both to win,
Each a force for both to wield. Song of a fearful angel,
You, my ire, me, your shield. Echoing above,
—The Shadowskald Sing of walking terrors,
And of the dying dove.
A Thrall’s Reprimand —The Shadowskald
King, bow down, you know not why,
Your kingdoms fall, your subjects rise. Inquiries of Lotro
So now I speak, a reprimand. Where is your heart, o demon bright,
You'll never rule, nor own a land, Abbadon of the sunlight?
A stolen heart cannot be caged, Where is your kindness, Wrathful one,
So lost is every war you've waged. Child of the Angered Sun?
Your crown's not yours, so bow again, How did you grow so strong,
And here's your oath, no chains remain. Monster proud, of burning wrong?

—The Shadowskald To a murderer's house you come."
But I walked on, did not believe,
The Dawning Elegy The traitor's heart I could not see.
The night consumes the daylight, I travelled towards the weathered house,
The outcasts break the chains, The mist and rain spoke without mouth:
Civilization crumbles, "Go home, little one, go home,
The shadows bear the stains. To a murderer's house you come."
A voice commands the darkness, And though I heard, it mattered not,
To let the light to see, For I'd respond, with mocking thought:
A darker realm than Heaven, Stones can't whisper, rain can't talk,
Could ever make to bleed. Though anger speaks and shadows walk,
A vengeful one awakens, And this message must be lie,
To view a broken world, For my friend I'd surely die.
And so commands the fallen, I found the house a shade of night,
To take the wrathful sword. So black that it consumed the light,
The ash falls to the golden, And decked in iron cages cruel,
The crystal takes the grey, That held his dove-like secrets cool,
Twilight seeks to frighten, And they spoke,
The ones he once obeyed. A raspy croak:
Child of the Twisted, "Go home, little one, go home,
Now walks beneath the sun, To a murderer's house you've come."
And in the mountains misted, Inside I found a withered crone,
The Ruin-Wind has come. Who stirred a stew of blood and bone.
The Feral Queen of Forests, She told me what was told before,
Goes forth within her pride, Which I had thought I could ignore:
And when the wild rests, "Go home, little one, go home,
The Spawn of Hunts goes by. To a murderer's house you've come."
Dusk falls through the ages, But then he'd come, 'fore I could hide,
And dawn still waits to rise, He caught my trust, the rest denied,
So fear of night engages, And carved it up, prepared a meal,
The daylight's peaceful lies. And left me lonely, trapped to feel,
As day-kyn pass outward, A broken heart, a wrathful soul,
To join the heaven's thrall, That to this day cannot be whole.
The night-friends travel downward, —The Shadowskald
And face the endless fall.
The Shadowfolk take power, Shadowskald’s Judgement
The dawn begins to break, I've seen angels in the light,
The Herald's voices shower, Bound to darkness, and the night,
On Heaven's rst mistake. Who's cruelty was beyond sight,
The dragon of the dawning, And struck with demons' jealous might.
Passes through the sky,
And the shards of the breaking, I've seen monsters darker still,
Let light destroy the lie. Than starless nights and broken will,
—Enriroyè Abbadon, the Shadowskald Who'd save their foe from other's kills,
And left me free to eat my ll.
My Loss
I once walked a path alone, I judge angels by their glow,
And heard a whisper from the stone: Not by the realm they seem to know,
"Go home, little one, go home, And monsters by the realms they go,
Not by the void they seem to show. We are the tyrants,
—The Shadowskald Who’ll never rule,
Born of the embers,
We Are Legion Cold and cruel.
We are legion, We are the fallen,
And all alone, On beating wing,
With heart of glass, Who kill with the
And mind of stone. Healing song we sing.
We are the blind ones, We are the bestial,
The ones who see, Child of blood,
Our chains are broken, Who walk with the feral,
Before we’re free. Speak with the ood.
We are fearful, We are the endless,
Who rise again, Eternal we fall,
On wings of ash, Echoing naught,
That never end. With the echoes we call.
We are the peaceful, We are the keepers
Who wage a war, And warders of men,
Against the heavens, Who ee the touch
That you adore. Of what ees from them.
We are the echos, We are the shadows,
Of songs forgotten, Beyond the stars,
Of secrets told, Servants of heaven,
And souls gone rotten. Fighting hell’s wars.
We are the broken, We are legion,
Who wander on, A thousand souls,
Through halls of smoke, Scourged and scattered,
And streets of bone. To make a whole.
We are the mindless, —The Shadowskald
Who cannot be,
So we become, Titan’s Hearths
That which we see. I've heard the wrath of an angel call,
We are the wrathful, For a king to bow to his broken thrall.
Marching forth, I've heard the gentle demons speak,
To nd a horror, Of a realm so cruel that it heals the weak.
And prove it’s worth. I've heard a queen of chain and steel,
We are legion, Tell of a law beyond the real.
A single man, I've heard a lord of the passing storm,
Born and battered, Sing of a land that won't conform.
So we’ll withstand. I've heard the terrors of the night,
Howl in the empire of the light.
We are legion, I've heard the shining one reveal,
The myriad, A dark kingdom he could not steal.
The unknown, I've heard the three in one command,
And things unsaid. The twilight forged into a land.
We are the terrors, I've heard them all describe their home,
Who walk the land, And found a palace all my own.
With ancient voices, —The Shadowskald
But newborn hands.
Broken Song Freed from chains of our own might,
Echoes of a voice now endless, Slaves of secrets, new believers,
Singing this broken song. Melt our chains in steel-grey light.
Terrors of the night forgotten, We Fallen rise from sleepless slumber,
Strive, weak against the strong. Marching through the light of day,
Faces of a shadow twisted, Relying each upon our number,
Stare into the fearful dark, Fighting for a place to stay.
Minds of the wrathful hosted, One day, we pass beyond all sight,
Walk to a ery mark. To look upon our pain,
Black as the void we speak for, And, when o ered warming sunlight,
True as the lies we know, We'll rather have the rain.
Bright as the blood falling, — The Shadowskald
Crimson to the snow.
Strong as the feral ltered, Life’s Denizen
Iron turned to steel, Broken mind and broken heart,
Peaceful as the warriors, Little life is but an art.
Doomed to ne'er feel. Soul of water, Soul of stone,
Scarlet on the dying dove, Who is blood and who is bone?
Drifting from the sky, Spirit kind and spirit cruel,
False as the truthful tempest, Who a king and who a fool?
We're dark as the light-less night. Form of wood and form of dust,
March to the fading embers, Who shall stand and who shall rust?
Angry guests to thought, Realm of ember, Realm of ash,
Look through the eeing night, Who the shield and who the lash?
Masks of the shadows wrought. Cast of joy and cast of pain,
Shattered strike against the whole, Who is broken, who is sane?
Nightmares lost in ages old, Forged of safety, forged of harm,
Share this tattered story told, Who shall ee and who shall warn?
Returning voice, in nite coals. Blade of horror, blade of glee,
—The Shadowskald Who is blind and who can see?
Wrought of hatred, wrought of love,
My Kyn Who the hawk and who the dove?
Abandoned in the darkness, Rule of rage and rule of calm,
By all demons despised, Who the wound and who the balm?
Together bound by loneliness, The rst end and the nal start,
The broken ones arise. Little life is but an art.
Trapped by the contempt of all, — The Shadowskald
We faced the closing door,
Ten Thousand
Where the ones we know as thralls,
I heard ten thousand voices call,
Would claim us evermore.
Ten thousand kings, ten thousand thralls.
Then all the shattered and betrayed,
Each of ten thousand spoke a word,
All the fearful, lost, dismissed,
Ten thousand words that went unheard.
By fading light they saw arrayed,
I saw ten thousand men arise,
A host of broken glass and mist.
Ten thousand truths, ten thousand lies.
Many of that host surrendered,
Each of ten thousand struck a blow,
To the endish forges end,
Ten thousand blows that miss the foe.
But you and I were newly rendered,
I felt ten thousand monster's wrath,
In the shadows where we mend.
Ten thousand ways, ten thousand paths.
Slaves of love and slaves of anger,
Each of ten thousand prowled forth,
Ten thousand seeking that with worth. and the demons all grow stronger.
I knew ten thousand broken ones, Another voice begins to speak,
Ten thousand stars, ten thousand suns. "You know the darkness is weak,
Each of ten thousand built a wall, When my foes are burned away,
Ten thousand walls, now shattered, fall. I wonder what I'll hear you say?"
— The Shadowskald I respond a darker tone,
Lighter than the shadows own,
My Hearth and Home
"I shall claim my hatred's work.
Do you know the place where the stars won't go?
Do you know where my monsters lurk?"
Where the sun won't shine and the wind won't blow?
Day and night both catch my eyes,
Where my life is true, Demons ght for you,
Seeking, seeking, for my lies,
With angels hatred owing through?
I say in silence sublime,
Do you know my home, where the devils roam,
"Wait until a kinder time."
And the law is wrought by the strength you own?
— The Shadowskald
Where the fearful in their nightmares rule,
and the kind ones nd their kindness cruel?
Your Path
In my dreams I live, where to take I give,
We've all walked the paths the others show,
and the kindest deaths are long.
Have you walked where you wish to walk?
There my monsters walk, and with them I talk,
Some paths swift and some paths slow,
And I nd the broken strong.
Will you hunt where another stalks?
There shattered mirrors stand together,
We've all known what the others see,
and endless storms I'm forced to weather,
Have you found how you wish to live?
but dark with radiance was tethered,
Some say kind, some say angry,
so day and night are joined forever.
Do you know what you should be?
Twilight stands with sun and moon,
We've all ruled as the others rule,
asking, will you join us soon?
Did you rise as you wished to fall?
Desolation is no doom,
We've been kind and we've been cruel,
Shall we go prepare a room?
— The Shadowskald How do you hear their call?
We've all been both strong and weak,
The Void of Law We've all won and we've all lost,
I saw a void within the law, One thing measures what we seek,
And all heard the voids creatures call, How we judge the nal cost.
But if you ght the claw with claw, — The Shadowskald
All shall surely see you fall.

Broken Mirrors
We've all seen the broken, we've heard the broken call,
Are you a broken mirror or are you another thrall?

Trinity’s Persuasion
I heard the shadows call to me,
Asking, asking, "are you free?"
"Are you chained or may you wander,
Kinsman, are you whole no longer?"
Around me stood others of light,
Each wondering at the sight,
As a new song echoes longer,
