“Rabbana wa-j'alna Muslimayni laka wa min Dhurriyatina 'Ummatan Muslimatan laka wa 'Arina
Manasikana wa tub 'alayna 'innaka 'antat-Tawwabu-Raheem”
Our Lord! Make of us Muslims, bowing to Thy (Will), and of our progeny a people Muslim, bowing
to Thy (will); and show us our place for the celebration of (due) rites; and turn unto us (in Mercy); for
Thou art the Oft-Returning, Most Merciful. Surah Al-Baqarah - 2:128

‫خ َر ِة‬ َّ ‫ة‬ً ‫س َن‬ َ ‫ح‬ ُّ ‫َربَّ َنٓا ٰاتِ َنا فِي‬

ْ ّ ‫وثَ ِب‬ َ ‫علَ ْي َنا‬ ْ ‫َربَّ َنا َأ ْف ِر‬
َ ‫غ‬
َّ ‫اب‬
‫النا ِر‬ َ ‫ذ‬ َ ‫ع‬ َّ ‫ة‬
َ ‫وقِ َنا‬ ً ‫سـ َن‬
َ ‫ح‬
َ َ ‫كافِ ِر‬
‫ين‬ َ ‫م ال‬ َ ‫علَى ال‬
ِ ‫ق ْو‬ َ
“Rabbanaaa Aatinaa Fiddunyaa H’asanata Wa Fil “Rabbana afrigh 'alayna sabran wa thabbit
Aakhirati H’asanata Wa Qinaa A’d’aaban Naar” aqdamana wansurna 'alal-qawmil-kafirin”
Our Lord! Give us in this world that which is good Our Lord! Bestow on us endurance, make our
and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us foothold sure, and give us help against the
from the torment of the Fire! (2:201) disbelieving folk. (2:250)

َ ۪ ‫اغ ِف ْر لَ َنا‬ َ ۪ ‫ع َّنا‬
َ ‫ف‬ ُ ‫اع‬ ْ ‫و‬ َ ۚ ‫ة لَ َنا بِ ٖه‬ َ َ‫ما اَل ط‬
َ ‫اق‬ َ ‫م ْل َنا‬ِّ ‫ح‬َ ‫واَل ُت‬ َ ‫ن‬
َ ‫ق ْب ِل َنا ۚ َربَّ َنا‬ ْ ‫م‬
ِ ‫ن‬ ِ َّ‫ال‬
َ ‫ذ ْي‬
ْ ‫م‬
َ ‫ال ٰك ِف ِر ْي‬
‫ن‬ ْ ‫علَي‬
َ ‫ال‬
ِ ‫ق ْو‬ َ ‫ص ْرنَا‬ُ ‫فا ْنــ‬ َ ‫م ْو ٰلى َنا‬
َ ‫ت‬ َ ‫۪ اَ ْن‬
“Rabbanaa Laa Too-Akhid’naaa In-Naseenaa Aw Akht’aanaa Rabbanaa wa Laa Tah’mil
A’laynaaa Is’ran Kamaa Ha’maltahoo A’lal Lad’eena min Qablinaa Rabbanaa wa Laa
Tuh’ammilnaa Maa Laa T’aaqata Lanaa Bih Wa’-Fu A’nnaa Waghfirlanaa Warh’amnaa Anta
Mawlaanaa Fans’urnaa A’lal Qawmil Kaafireen”
Allah burdens not a person beyond his scope. He gets reward for that (good) which he has
earned, and he is punished for that (evil) which he has earned. "Our Lord! Punish us not if we
forget or fall into error, our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which You did lay on those
before us; our Lord! Put not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Pardon us and
grant us Forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You are our Maula (Patron, Supporter and Protector,
etc.) and give us victory over the disbelieving people." (2:286)

‫ين‬ ِ ‫خا‬ َ ‫م‬ِ ‫م َنا ل َنكونَن‬ ْ ‫ح‬َ ‫وتَ ْر‬
َ
“Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka antas “Rabbana zalamna anfusina wa il lam taghfir
Sameeaul Aleem” lana wa tarhamna lana kunan minal-khasireen”
Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us: For Our Lord! We have wronged our own souls: If
Thou art the All-Hearing, the All-knowing. thou forgive us not and bestow not upon us Thy
(2:127) Mercy, we shall certainly be lost.
Surah Al-A'raf - 7:23
 ‫ع ۗا ِء‬
َ ‫ل ُد‬
ْ َّ‫قب‬ ُ ‫ن‬
َ ‫ذ ِّريَّتِيْ َربَّ َنا‬
َ َ ‫وت‬ ْ ‫م‬
ِ ‫و‬ َّ
َ ‫الص ٰلو ِة‬ ُ ْ‫ع ْلنِي‬
َ ‫م ِق ْي‬
‫م‬ َ ‫اج‬
ْ ‫ب‬ِ ّ ‫َر‬
“Rabbij-A’lnee Muqeemas’ S’alaati Wa Min D’urrriyyatee Rabbanaa Wa Taqabbal Du-A’aa”

O my Lord! Make me one who performs As-Salaat (Iqaamat-as-Salaat), and (also) from my
offspring, our Lord! And accept my invocation. (14:40)

َ ‫ن‬ َ ‫و‬
َ ‫خ ِفي‬ْ ‫ما ُن‬
َ ‫م‬ُ َ‫ك تَ ْعل‬َ َّ‫َربَّ َنا ِإن‬
َّ
َ ‫الس‬
‫ماء‬ َ ِ‫في اَأل ْرض‬
‫وال َ فِي‬ َ ‫شيْ ٍء‬ َ ‫من‬ ِ ِ ‫علَى هّللا‬ َ ً ‫ع ْل َنا فِ ْت َن‬
‫ة‬ َ ‫ج‬ ْ َ‫ك ْل َنا َربَّ َنا اَل ت‬ َّ ‫و‬َ َ‫علَى هَّللا ِ ت‬ َ
“Rabbana innaka ta'lamu ma nukhfi wa ma nu'lin wa ma ‫ن‬ َ ‫م‬ ِ ‫ك‬ َ ِ‫مت‬ َ ‫ح‬ ْ ‫ج َنا بِ َر‬
ِ ّ َ ‫ون‬ َ ‫ين‬
َ ‫م‬ َّ
ِ ِ‫م الظال‬ ِ ‫ق ْو‬ ْ
َ ‫لِل‬
yakhfa 'alal-lahi min shay'in fil-ardi wa la fis-Sama” َ ‫م الكافِ ِر‬
‫ين‬ َ ْ ْ
ِ ‫القو‬ َ ْ
“Alal Allahi thawakkalna rabbana la
O our Lord! Truly Thou dost know what we conceal and taj'alna fitnatal lil-qawmidh-Dhalimeen.
what we reveal: for nothing whatever is hidden from Wa najjina bi-Rahmatika minal qawmil
Allah, whether on earth or in heaven. (14:38) kafireen.”
َ ‫م‬
‫ين‬ ْ ‫م‬
ِ ِ‫سل‬ َّ ‫و‬
ُ ‫ف َنا‬ َ َ ‫وت‬ َ ‫علَ ْي َنا‬
َ ‫ص ْب ًرا‬ ْ ‫َربَّ َنا َأ ْف ِر‬
َ ‫غ‬ Upon Allah do we rely. Our Lord, make
“Rabbana afrigh 'alayna sabraw wa tawaffana us not [objects of] trial for the wrongdoing
Muslimeen” people. And save us by Your mercy from
the disbelieving people. (10:85-86)
Our Lord! pour out on us patience, and cause us to die
as Muslim. (7:126) َ ‫نين يَو‬
‫م‬ َ ‫م‬ ُ ‫ولِل‬
ِ ‫مؤ‬ َّ ‫ولِوالِ َد‬
َ ‫ي‬ َ ‫َربَّ َنا اغ ِفر لي‬

ِ ‫م ال‬ُ ‫يَقو‬

‫ين‬ ِ ِ‫م الظَّال‬
ِ ‫ق ْو‬ ْ ‫ع‬
َ ‫ال‬ َ ‫ع ْل َنا‬
َ ‫م‬ ْ َ‫َربَّ َنا ال َ ت‬
َ ‫ج‬
“Rabbana ighfirli wali walidayya wa lil
“Rabbanaa Laa Taj-a’lnaa Ma – A’l Qawmiz’ Z’aalimeen” mu’mineena yauma yakumol hisab”
Our Lord! Place us not with the people who are Zaalimoon Our Lord! Forgive me and my parents, and
(polytheists and wrong doers). all the believers on the Day when the
Surah Al-A'raf - 7:47 reckoning will be established.(14:41)

َّ ‫ل‬ ِ ‫خ‬ ِ ‫ن ُت ْد‬ ْ ‫م‬َ ‫ك‬ َ َّ‫ َربَّ َنٓا اِن‬.‫النا ِر‬َّ ‫اب‬ َ ‫ع َذ‬ َ ‫ف ِق َنا‬ َ ‫ك‬ َ ‫ْح َن‬ ٰ ‫سب‬ُ ۚ ‫طاًل‬ِ ‫ه َذا بَا‬ ٰ ‫ت‬ َ ‫خلَ ْق‬ َ ‫ما‬ َ ‫َربَّ َنا‬

‫منا ۚ َرب َنا‬ َّ ٰ َ
َ ‫م فا‬ ُ
ْ ‫من ْوا بِ َربِ ّك‬ ُ ٰ ْ
ِ ‫ن ان ا‬ َ ِ ‫ما‬ ‫اْل‬
َ ‫ي لِ ِ ْي‬ ُّ ُ
ْ ‫مع َنا م َنا ِديًا ي َنا ِد‬ ْ ِ ‫س‬ َّ َّ
َ ‫ َرب َنٓا اِن َنا‬.ٍ‫صار‬ ْ
َ ‫ن ان‬ َ ْ ‫م‬ِ ‫ْن‬ َ ‫مي‬ ّٰ
ِ ِ‫ما لِلظل‬ َ ‫و‬ َ
‫واَل‬
َ ‫ك‬ َ ‫س ِل‬ ُ ‫ع ٰلي ُر‬ َ ‫ع ْدتَّ َنا‬ َ ‫و‬ َ ‫ما‬ َ ‫و ٰاتِ َنا‬ َ ‫ َربَّ َنا‬.‫ع ااْل َ ْب َرا ِر‬
َ ‫م‬َ ‫ف َنا‬ َّ ‫و‬َ َ ‫وت‬ َ ‫ع َّنا‬
َ ‫س ِي ّ ٰاتِ َنا‬ ِّ ‫ك‬
َ ‫ف ْر‬ َ ‫و‬ َ ‫اغ ِف ْر لَ َنا ُذ ُن ْوبَ َنا‬
ْ ‫ف‬ َ
َ ‫عا‬
‫د‬ َ ‫م ْي‬ ِ ‫ال‬ْ ‫ف‬ ُ ِ‫خل‬ ْ ‫ك اَل ُت‬ َ َّ‫ة ۭاِن‬
ِ ‫م‬ ْ ‫م‬
َ ‫ال ِق ٰي‬ َ ‫خ ِزنَا يَ ْو‬ ْ ‫ُت‬

Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without purpose, glory to You! (Exalted be You above all
that they associate with You as partners). Give us salvation from the torment of the Fire. *Our Lord!
Verily, whom You admit to the Fire, indeed, You have disgraced him, and never will the Zaalimoon
(polytheists and wrong-doers) find any helpers. *Our Lord! Verily, we have heard the call of one
(Muhammad p.b.u.h.) calling to Faith: 'Believe in your Lord,' and we have believed. *Our Lord!
Forgive us our sins and remit from us our evil deeds, and make us die in the state of righteousness
along with Al-Abraar (those who are obedient to Allah and follow strictly His Orders). *Our Lord! Grant
us what You promised unto us through Your Messengers and disgrace us not on the Day of
Resurrection, for You never break (Your) Promise.
Surah Al-Imran 191-194

َ ‫ال‬
ِ ‫ق ْو‬ ُ ‫وا ْن‬
َ ‫ص ْرنَا‬ َ ‫ت اَ ْق َدا‬

َ ‫ي اَ ْم ِرنَا‬ َ ‫س َر‬
ٓ ْ ِ‫اف َنا ف‬ َ ‫اغ ِف ْر لَ َنا ُذ ُن ْوبَ َنا‬
ْ ِ‫و ا‬ ْ ‫َربَّ َنا‬
“Rabbanaghfir lanaa d’unoobanaa wa israafanaa fee amrinaa wa thabbit aqdaamanaa wan s’urnaa
a’lal qawmil kaafireen”

Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and our transgressions (in keeping our duties to You), establish our feet
firmly, and give us victory over the disbelieving folk. (3:147)

‫النا ِر‬ َ ‫اغ ِف ْر لَ َنا ُذ ُن ْوبَ َنا‬
َ ‫وقِ َنا‬ ْ ‫ف‬ َ ‫َربَّ َنٓا اِنَّ َنٓا ٰا‬
َ ‫م َّنا‬ ِ ‫ب لَ َنا‬
ْ ‫م‬
‫ن‬ َ ‫و‬
ْ ‫ھ‬ َ ‫غ ُق ُل ْوبَ َنا بَ ْع َد اِ ْذ‬
َ ‫ھ َد ْي َت َنا‬ ْ ‫َربَّ َنا اَل ُت ِز‬
“Rabbana innana amanna faghfir lana dhunuubana ُ ‫ھ‬
‫اب‬ َّ ‫و‬ ْ ‫ت‬
َ ‫ال‬ َ ‫ك اَ ْن‬َ َّ‫ة ۚ اِن‬ ً ‫م‬
َ ‫ح‬ ْ ‫ك َر‬ َ ‫لَّ ُد ْن‬
wa qinna 'adhaban-Naar” “Rabbanaa Laa Tuzigh Quloobanaa Ba’-Da
Id’hadaytanaa Wa Hab Lanaa Mil Ladunka Rah’mah
Our Lord! We have indeed believed, so forgive us Innaka Antal Wahaab”
our sins and save us from the punishment of the
Fire. Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate (from the truth) after
Surah Al-Imran - 3:16 You have guided us, and grant us mercy from You.
ْ ‫وَأ‬ ْ ‫م‬َّ ‫الل ّ ُه‬ Truly, You are the Bestower. (3:8)
‫غنِني‬ َ ،‫مك‬ َ ‫ن‬
ِ ‫حرا‬ ْ ‫ع‬ َ ‫ك‬ َ ِ‫حالل‬ َ ِ‫اك ِفني ب‬
‫سواك‬ ِ ‫ن‬ ْ ‫م‬َّ ‫ع‬َ ‫ك‬َ ‫ض ِل‬ْ ‫ف‬َ ِ‫ب‬
“Allaahumma akfini bi halallika ‘an haraamika,
wa aghnini bi fadlika ‘amman siwaka”

“O Allaah! Provide me with lawful (Halal) livelihood, َّ ‫اللَّ ُه‬

‫ خلقتني وأنا‬، ‫ ال إله إال أنت‬،‫م أنت ربي‬
adequate to my needs instead of the unlawful (Haram), ‫ وأنا على عهدك ووعدك ما استطعت‬،‫عبدك‬
and make me suffice with Your graces needing nothing ‫أعوذ بك من شر ما صنعت أبوء لك بنعمتك‬
from anyone else” ‫ فاغفر لي فإنه ال يغفر‬،‫ وأبوء بذنبي‬،‫علي‬
‫الذنوب إال أنت‬

ُ َ‫ول‬ ُ َّ‫جل‬
َ ،‫ه‬ ِ ‫و‬ َ ‫ه‬ َّ ‫ ِد‬،‫ه‬
ُ ‫ق‬ ُ َّ‫كل‬
ُ ‫ذ ْنبِي‬ ْ ‫م‬
َ ‫اغ ِف ْر لِي‬ َّ ‫اللَّ ُه‬ "O' my 'ilãh You are my Lord, there is no 'ilãh but
‫س َّر ُه‬
ِ ‫و‬ َ ‫ه‬ُ ‫وعَاَل نِيَ َت‬
َ ،‫خ َر ُه‬ َ
ِ ‫وآ‬ You. You created me, and I am your bondservant,
❝O Allaah forgive me all my sins, the minute of them and I will stick to my covenant and promise [of faith
and the major of them, the first of them and the last of and sincere obedience] to You, as to my ability. I
them, the ones committed secretly and openly.❞ seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have
done, I acknowledge, to You, your bounties upon
me, and I acknowledge, to You, my sin. Thus forgive
me, for none forgives sins except You."

“My Lord, truly I am in need for whatever

good You bestow upon me.” (Quran 28:24)

َ ‫ال‬ َ ‫ك َأ ْن‬َ َّ‫ن‬
ُ‫ظيْم‬ َ ْ ُ
ِ ‫الف ْوز ا لع‬ َ ْ
“Rabbana wa adhkhilhum Jan’naati adninil-lati wa'attahum wa man salaha min abaa'ihim;
Wa azwaajihim wa dhuriyy’aatihim; Innaka antal Azizul-Hakeem Waqihimus sayyi'aat; Wa man
taqis-sayyi'aati yawma'idhin faqad rahimatahu; Wa dhaalika huwal fawzul-adheem.

Our Lord, and admit them to gardens of perpetual residence which You have promised them and
whoever was righteous among their fathers, their spouses and their offspring. Indeed, it is You who
is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.And protect them from the evil consequences [of their deeds]. And
he whom You protect from evil consequences that Day - You will have given him mercy. And that is
the great attainment.

ُ ‫ك ِإنِّي‬
ِ ِ‫وذ ب‬
ُ ‫ك‬ َ َ ‫ح ان‬ َ ‫ه ِإاَّل َأ‬
ُ ‫نت‬
َ ‫س ْب‬ َ َ‫اَّل ِإل‬
‫ُأ‬
‫حا ِذ ُر‬َ ‫و‬ َ
َ ‫م‬
‫ين‬ ِ ِ‫الظَّال‬
“A’udhu bi’izzatillahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma
“La ilaha illa Anta subhanaka inni kuntu min Az-
ajidu wa ‘uhadhiru”
zalimeen”
None has the right to be worshipped but You,
I seek refuge with Allah and with His Power from
Glorified be You! Truly, I have been of the wrong-
the evil that afflicts me and that which I
doers.

”Rabbanā ātinā fīd-dunyā ḥasanatan wa-fīl-ākhirati ḥasanatan wa-qinā ʿadhāban-nār”

Our Lord, grant us good in this world, and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the

َ ‫ع‬ ً
َ ،‫و ِر ْزقا طَيِّبًا‬

ٍ ‫م‬ ِ ‫ها‬ ِ ‫ك‬
“Allahumma inni as'alukal-jannatah wa ma qarrab ilaiha min ”Allahumma Inni As-alka il-man Naa-fi'a,
qawlin aw amalin wa a'uzubika minan-nari wa ma qarrab wa rizqan twayyiban, wa-'amalan muta-
ilayha min qawlin aw amalin” qabbalan”

O Allah, I ask You for Paradise and for that which brings one Oh Allah, I ask for the beneficial
closer to it, in word and deed, and I seek refuge in You from knowledge, good wealth, and accepted
Hell and from that which brings one closer to it deeds (actions)

‫ك‬ ِ ‫علَى نَ ْف‬ َ ‫ْت‬ َ ‫ك‬َ ‫ت‬ َ ‫ ْن‬،‫ك‬ َ ‫علَ ْي‬
َ ‫صي ثَ َنا ًء‬ِ ‫ح‬ْ
”Allaahumma ‘innee ‘a’uuthu biridhaaka min sakhatwika, wa bimu’aafaatika min ‘uquubatika, wa
‘a’uuthu bika minka, laa ‘uh-see thanaa’an ‘alayka, ‘Anta kamaa ‘athnayta ‘alaa nafsika”

O Allah, I seek refuge with Your Pleasure from Your anger. I seek refuge in Your forgiveness from
Your punishment. I seek refuge in You from You. I cannot count Your praises, You are as You have
praised Yourself.
 ‫ف ُق ُلوبَ َنا‬ َ ،ِ‫ال ُق ُلوب‬
ْ ‫ص ِّر‬ ْ ‫ف‬َ ‫ص ِّر‬ َّ ‫ اللَّ ُه‬.‫ ثبت قلبي على دينك‬،‫يا مقلب القلوب‬

َ ِ‫اعت‬
‫ك‬ َ َ‫علَى ط‬ َ
“Ya muqallibal qulub, thabbit qalbi ala deenik. Allahumma musarrifal qulubi, sarrif qulubana
ala taatika”

O Changer of the hearts, make my heart firm upon Your deen. O Allah, the Turner of the
hearts, turn our hearts to Your obedience.

”Rabbi hab lee hukman wa'alhiqnee bis-saaliheen, waj'al lee ِ ‫ج َّن‬ ْ ‫ك بَ ْي ًتا فِي‬
‫ة‬ َ ‫ال‬ َ ‫عن َد‬ ِ ‫ب ا ْب‬
ِ ‫ن لِي‬ ِ ّ ‫َر‬
lisaana sid'qin fil-aakhireen, waj'alnee min warathatu Jannatin- ”Rabbib ni lee ‘indaka baytan fil Jannah”
Na'eem”
My Lord! Build for me a house near You
My Lord! Grant me authority, and join me with the righteous. And in Paradise.
grant me a reputation of honor among later generations. And
place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Pleasure.

”Rabbi habli minas-saaliheen” ”Allahummah-fazni min baini yadaiya, wa min khalfi, wa ‘an yameeni,
wa ‘an syimali wa min fauqi, wa a’uzhu bi’azhumatika an ughtala min
My Lord, grant me a child from among tahti”
the righteous”
O Allah protect me from my front, behind me, from my right and my
left, and from above me, and I seek refuge in Your Magnificence from
being taken unaware from beneath me.

َ ْ‫ف لِي‬ َ ْ‫ص ْيبَتِي‬ ِ ‫م‬ ْ َ
‫وكِيل‬َ ‫م ال‬ َ ‫ونِع‬ ُ
َ ‫هللا‬ ‫س ُب َنا‬ْ ‫ح‬ َ ‫و‬ َ ‫دير‬ ِ ‫ق‬
“Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji`un. Allahumma’ ”Allahumma inni astaudi’uka ma qara’tu wa ma hafiztu wa ma
jurni fi museebati, wakhluf li khairan minha” ta’allamtu, fardudhu li ilayya ‘inda haajati, innaka ‘ala kulli shai-in
qadir, wa hasbunallahu wa ni’mal wakil”
We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.
O Allah! Compensate me in my difficulty, O Allah! I entrust You with what I have read and what I have
recompense my loss and give me something memorized and I have studied. Bring it back to me when I am in
better in exchange for it. need of it. Truly you have power over all things. Sufficient for us is
Allah, and (He is) the best Disposer of affairs.

Shaykh Fawzan( Hafidhahullah) said:

"Du'ā' is the greatest form of worship because it shows humility towards Allāh, the
slave's complete need of Allāh, a soft heart and desire for what is with Allāh, fear of
Him, and the acknowledgment of the slave's weakness and absolute need of Allāh,
while the abandonment of du'ā' shows arrogance, a hard heart, and turning away
from Allāh. And abandonment of du'ā' is a reason for entering the Fire."
