Hailey: Inarguably, we all dream of a world where boundaries are respected, yet

each country opens its doors to let everyone experience its wonders. Imagine a
world where borders are no longer barriers but gateways to new friendships,
adventures, and cultural exchanges. Each nation is unique, holding treasures
waiting to be appreciated by those who visit—whether it's the breathtaking
landscapes, the vibrant festivals, or the deep-rooted traditions passed down
through generations. Every country offers its own story, its own flavors, and its
own rhythm that enrich our shared world.
Vem: Yes, exactly! From the snowy peaks of the Himalayas to the sun-soaked
beaches of the Caribbean, from the bustling streets of Tokyo to the quiet corners of
rural Africa, there’s so much to explore, to learn, and to celebrate.
Hailey & Vem (together): A wonderful and blessed afternoon to everyone!
Vem: Now, this day might seem like any other to some, but I assure you, today is
anything but ordinary! It’s a special day of celebration, of learning, and of
appreciation for all the beauty that different cultures bring.
Hailey: Exactly! Today, we gather here to celebrate not just one, but two
significant organizations: the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and
the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
These two bodies represent unity, diversity, and progress in our global community.
We are here to celebrate the wonders of the world through the lens of education,
culture, and shared heritage.
Hailey: But before we dive into the festivities, let us all rise and give due respect
to our country by singing the national anthem, which will be led by the Grade 6
pupils. Please remain standing as we acknowledge the divine presence through a
Doxology by our Grade 5 pupils.
Hailey: Thank you, everyone. To formally open our celebration today, let us
welcome our passionate and hardworking school head, Ma’am Cleofa P. Laureta, to
deliver her opening remarks. Let’s give her a round of applause!
Vem: Thank you so much, Ma’am Cleofa, for that inspiring and empowering
message. And now, let's hear from the leader of our student body, the SELG
President, none other than Hailey Hernando, for her welcome message!
Hailey: Thank you, Vem. I just want to say how honored I am to be here, standing
before all of you as we embark on this incredible cultural journey. Today, let us
open our minds and hearts to the beauty of diversity. Through this parade of
costumes, we will take you on a visual tour of various cultures, traditions, and
nations that remind us of how truly connected we all are.
Hailey: Without further ado, let’s begin our parade, starting with the youngest and
cutest participants. Let’s give it up for the kindergarten pupils as they grace the
stage in their vibrant and colorful outfits!
(Entrance of Kindergarten pupils)
Vem: Aren’t they just adorable? Now, let’s welcome our energetic Grade 1 pupils!
Look at them proudly representing their cultures!
(Entrance of Grade 1 pupils)
Hailey: So cute! Look at those costumes, everyone. And here comes Grade 2!
Watch how confidently they walk the stage, showing off their beautiful attire!
(Entrance of Grade 2 pupils)
Vem: Wow, they look amazing! Now, let’s keep the momentum going with Grade
3! Come on up, you’re doing great!
(Entrance of Grade 3 pupils)
Hailey: What a sight to see! Up next, Grade 4! Don’t they look stunning? Their
costumes are really on point, giving us a glimpse of the traditions they represent!
(Entrance of Grade 4 pupils)
Vem: Fantastic! Now, let’s call on Grade 5! They’re ready to rock the stage and
show us more of the vibrant cultures we’re celebrating today!
(Entrance of Grade 5 pupils)
Hailey: And last but certainly not least, here come the Grade 6 pupils, closing the
parade with style and grace! They look so proud and confident, don’t they?
(Entrance of Grade 6 pupils)
Hailey: What an incredible display of talent and cultural pride! Now, may we call
on Ma’am Gretchen Gannad to introduce our esteemed judges, who will have the
difficult task of evaluating our contestants today.
Vem: And now, to give us the official contest mechanics and criteria for judging,
we invite Sir Rod to explain the details. Make sure to listen closely, everyone!
Hailey: Now, it’s time to really get the party started with a special production
number! Let’s all get ready for a dazzling performance from our candidates,
alongside our talented dance troupe. This is going to be spectacular!
(Production number with dance troupe)
Vem: That was amazing! But now, it’s time for what we’ve all been waiting for—
the presentation of our candidates for this school year’s ASEAN-UNESCO pageant!
Let’s meet the incredible individuals who will represent different countries with
pride and passion.
Hailey: First up, we have Argentina! Did you know that the name Argentina comes
from the Latin word for silver, argentum? Argentina is not only a treasure trove of
minerals, but it’s also the birthplace of the tango!
Vem: And now, welcome Cambodia! This beautiful country is home to rich history,
with breathtaking landscapes dominated by the Mekong River and Tonle Sap Lake.
Truly, Cambodia is a hidden gem in Southeast Asia.
Hailey: Let’s welcome Singapore! Known for its iconic skyline, world-class
shopping centers, and food that is a mix of cultures, Singapore is a melting pot of
tradition and modernity, truly a jewel in the heart of Asia.
Vem: Up next, we have Japan! Famous for its technological innovations and pop
culture, Japan is also home to ancient traditions and natural beauty, such as the
iconic Mount Fuji.
Hailey: Let’s give it up for Laos! Known as the Land of a Million Elephants, Laos
boasts incredible temples, waterfalls, and a rich cultural history that continues to
fascinate visitors from all around the world.
Vem: Next, Nigeria! Did you know that Nigeria is home to the second-largest film
industry in the world, Nollywood? It’s also a hub for fashion, technology, and
creativity in Africa!
Hailey: Welcome Sweden! Known for its innovative design, scenic landscapes, and
strong sense of history, Sweden is truly a global leader in sustainability and
cultural development.
Vem: And here comes China! China is famous for many incredible inventions such
as paper, gunpowder, and silk. And of course, who could forget the magnificent
Great Wall that stretches across its vast lands?
Hailey: Next up, Poland! Did you know that Poland is home to over 1,300 lakes
and the beautiful Bialowieza Forest? It’s also famous for its medieval architecture
and deep-rooted cultural traditions.
Vem: Welcome Egypt! The land of the pyramids, Egypt’s ancient wonders, like the
Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx, continue to capture the imaginations of
travelers and historians alike.
Hailey: Finally, we have India! India is known for its vibrant festivals, rich history,
and delicious cuisine. With incredible monuments like the Taj Mahal, it’s a country
that amazes everyone who visits.
Vem: And that concludes the presentation of our girls! Now, let’s bring out the
boys, starting with Argentina!
Hailey: Up next, we have Cambodia!
Vem: Singapore, it’s your turn!
Hailey: Japan, come on up!
Vem: Now, let's welcome Laos!
Hailey: Nigeria, you’re next!
Vem: Sweden, it’s your time to shine!

Vem: Poland, show us what you’ve got!
Hailey: And last but not least, Egypt!
Hailey: Once again, let’s give a huge round of applause to all our incredible
ASEAN-UNESCO candidates! What a fantastic showcase of talent and cultural
pride!
Vem: But wait, we’re not done yet! Up next, we have an exciting intermission
number brought to you by our future educators. Let’s give them a warm round of
applause as they perform for us!
(Intermission performance by future educators)
Hailey: And while we’re enjoying the show, let’s take this opportunity to kick off
our fundraising for a cause. Every little bit helps, so please don’t hesitate to
contribute!
(Fundraising announcement)
Hailey: Now, let's take a breather with another special intermission number from
our very own Himig Bulilit choir. Let’s sit back, relax, and enjoy their wonderful
voices!

Hailey: As we approach the end of today’s program, we would like to call on
Ma’am Juliet Acosta, Faculty President, to acknowledge all of those who made this
event possible. Let’s give her a round of applause!
Vem: And that, ladies and gentlemen, wraps up our wonderful ASEAN-UNESCO
celebration for today. We are so grateful for your presence and participation in this
remarkable event.
Hailey: We hope today’s program has reminded us all of the beauty of diversity
and the power of unity. No matter where we come from, we share one world, and
together we can make it better. Thank you so much, everyone, and we hope to see
you again next year!
