3. COACHING ACTIVITY
 On Ratlam Division Coach Care Complex, Indore and Dr. AMBEDKAR NAGAR
(DADN) are engaged in maintenance of BG trains. Heritage MG trains are also
maintained by Coach Care Complex, DADN at PTP.

 Coaching depot, Indore was commissioned in Feb-1995. Since then, there has been
periodical enhancement in activities and coach holding.
1. Coach Holding:
At present the depot has coach holding of 650 (436 LHB + 206 ICF + 08 VB Train set)
coaches.
2. Works undertaken at Coaching Depot, Indore:
 Primary rake, Secondary trains, STR trains and Passing Through trains maintenance.
 IOH, SS-I schedules & repair of coaches in sick line.
 Operation of Mechanized laundry.
 Operation of in-house Water Recycling Plant 105KLD
 Monitoring of Weigh Bridge at MGG.

B) COACH CARE COMPLEX, Dr. AMBEDKAR NAGAR

 The railway station DADN, a meter gauge line, was founded in the 1876s as part of the
Holkar State Railway. DADN was connected to Indore and Khandwa by Meter Gauge
railway lines on 03.08.1876 and 01.01.1878 respectively.
 The work of Broad-Gauge Track between DADN-IND was completed in 2016 and the
services are currently active. After 13.01.2017, DADN is known as DR. AMBEDKAR
NAGAR (DADN).
 One MG heritage spl (PATALPANI- KALAKUND) successfully started with from
26.08.23. Its rake maintenance is being done at newly constructed pit line at Patalpani
station yard.
 Coach Care Complex DADN is a repair and maintenance unit for MG and BG (LHB,
ICF, DEMU) Railway coaches under the control of Sr. CDO-IND.

1. Coach Holding:
 At present the depot has coach holding of 282 nos. (LHB-157 + ICF- 52 + DEMU-60
+ MG-13) Coaches.
2. Works undertaken at Coaching depot, DADN:
 Primary Rakes STR rakes and departmental stock maintenance
 Maintenance of Heritage MG train and MG tool Van at Patalpani station.
 Maintenance of Inspection carriage-01 No.
 IOH" and SS-I Schedule and repair of coaches in sick line.
 Under Floor wheel lathe machine operation.
 Automatic Coach washing plant operation.

4. WAGON ACTIVITIES

On Ratlam Division,Wagon depot, Shambhupura & Down yard-RTM are engaged in


repair and maintenance of BG goods stock on RTM division.

A) Wagon Depot, Shambhupura:


 Wagon depot, Shambhupura is major depot for freight rake maintenance in RTM-
COR BG section of Ratlam Division.
 It was the first in Western Railway to introduce Close Circuit Examination for
BCNHL wagons (known as "PADMINI"), presently CC, Special PM, PM and
Intensive freight rake examination of air brake wagons is done on 3 nominated
examination lines, Wagon repairs in the examination yard, Wagon repairs in the sick
line,ROH of wagon in ROH shed , Maintenance of the SMP Weigh Bridge, En-route
freight troubleshooting are being done
 Since Feb-24, First rake of WR under GPWIS scheme owned by Ultratech cement ltd
was examined and issued CC BPC. Presently 03 rakes are being maintained under this
scheme.

5. OTHER C&W UNITS
A) C&W Enroute Examination Point-RTM (BG):
This is situated on Delhi-Mumbai Rajdhani Route. Situation of depot become very
important as it is the only C&W depot between KTT and BRC.
a) Works undertaken :
 Quick watering facility available at Platform no. 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 & 7.
 Maintenance of Platform return (STR) trains.
 Maintenance of passing through trains
 Maintenance of inspection carriage (RAAC-38 WR)-01No.

 Monitoring and maintenance/Calibration of 02 nos. Railway Owned EIMWB located
at Chanderiya & Shambhupura.
 Calibration/Testing of 09 private owned EIMWBs located at 08 private sidings
(HZL/CNA-01, BCW-01, ACS/SMP-02, NOVOCO/GRF- 01, WCSG/GRF-01,
JK/NBH-01, VCS/JWO-01, JKCG-01).
 Regular inspections of Tipplers as per schedule at private sidings
 Maintenance and manning of maintaining “B” Class ART & SCALE-1 ARME.
 Receiving of HSD in RCD & Fuelling DSL Eng.
 Quick watering facility available at PF no 1, 2, 4 & 5
C) C&W Enroute Examination Point-UJN:
UJN is an important station where C&W staff is deployed for following activities:
 Quick watering facility at PF no 1, 2, 5 & 6.
 Maintenance and manning of ART/ARME based at UJN.
 Round the clock trouble shooting gang at platform.
 Watering of trains.
 Tower wagon fitness, Treasury Van fitness after loading, line calls attention.
D) C &W Enroute Examination Point-DHD:
 Quick watering facility at PF no 1.
 Tool van equipped with HRE is deployed at DHD to attend the unusual cases for
immediate relief.
 Platform returns (STR) -02 trains.
 En-route platform attention through passing trains

9. ENHM WING ACTIVITIES
 Ratlam ‘A ‘category Station has been taken over from Commercial Department by EnHM wing
from 17.09.2017.
 Indore Railway Station has been started and taken under the controlled of EnHM wing w.e.f.
07.12.18.
 Building/Station/depot certified Green rating
a) ISO Certification: IND and RTM Railway station:
 Environment management system ISO 140001:2015(Certification 30.11.2023)
b) Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) Rating awarded to Avantika Railway Building
Ujjain: Avantika Railway Building, Ujjain of Ratlam Division, W.R. has been awarded with the
IGBC rating on dt. 27.07.23.
c) Green Rating for Ratlam junction Station and DRM office building of Ratlam Division:
Green features, as per guidelines of IGBC, implemented in the Divisional Railway Manager
office and Ratlam station. The IGBC issued the Gold certificate for Divisional Railway Manager
office and Silver certificate for Ratlam Station in February-2021.
d) Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) Rating awarded to Chittaurgarh station: The
Chittaurgarh station of Ratlam Division, W.R. has been awarded with the IGBC Gold standard
rating on dt. 18.11.21. The certificate is awarded to station authority by the IGBC team on dt.
26.11.21 in the presence of GM/WR & DRM/RTM. This is the first railway station of RTM
division to earn IGBC Gold Rating. It has been done in least time in Indian Railways.
e) CII Green CO Silver Rating Certification of Coaching Depot Indore and Dr.Ambedkar
Nagar (First Coaching Depot in Indian Railway):
Coaching depot, Indore and Dr.Ambedkar Nagar of Ratlam division have been awarded with
Silver Green Rating certification by Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) on 08.09.2022 which
is valid for next 3 years.
Coaching Depot, Indore along with Coaching Depot, Dr. Ambedkar Nagar has become first
coaching depot in Indian Railway to achieve this CII Silver Green Rating Certification.
f) Green Co Silver Rating Certification awarded to Wagon Depot, Shambhupura: Wagon
Depot, Shambhupura of Ratlam Division was awarded with the IGBC Silver standard rating on
15.03.22. The certificate is awarded to Sr.DME(C&W)- Ratlam and ADME-Shambhupura Depot
by Shri Sudhansh Pant, Chairman- Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board, Govt. of Rajasthan
in the 7R's (Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Refurbish, Recover, Recycle) program organized by
CII on 07.06.22.
Wagon Depot, Shambhupura is the first wagon depot of Indian Railways to get this rating.
g) Green Rating Certification of Divisional Railway Hospital, Ratlam:
Gold rating Certification has been awarded to Divisional Railway Hospital, Ratlam, W.R. by
Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) in the month of July-22 which is valid for next 3 years.
This is appreciated by GM-WR during review meeting on 12.07.22 and Cash award of Rs
20000/- awarded for Green Rating Certification of Divisional Railway Hospital, Ratlam work.
h) ISO & 5S Certification: Coaching depot Indore, Coach care Complex DADN & Wagon,
