“BASIC FIRST AID & BLS-CPR TRANING”
NARATIVE REPORT:
Wednesday marks our CWTS day, therefore today is that day. We don't need to clean
the school or do anything else, either, because we're going to a course on "BASIC FIRST
AID & BLS-CPR TRAINING." Since this is my first time attending a session on how to use
your first aid knowledge to save lives, I'm quite excited. Today I got up early, ate my
lunch, and then had a bath. I entered my name in the attendance book at precisely 7:00
am when I arrived.
There are a ton of CWTS students around while I wait for the trainers to show up. I was
too timid to make friends, thus I was unable to do so. Our gracious host, Sir Michael Diaz
(CWTS Facilitator), greeted us. My classmate Francheska Anne Edpan, who attends
CWTS, welcomed the trainers when they finally came. The seminar's speaker today was
Ms. Thea Avila, our school nurse. Mr. Victor Retome and Mr. Romeo Bulacan, her pals.
She emphasized the need of having a basic understanding of what to do in an
emergency. They gave us clothes and showed us how to tie a square knot. Additionally,
they showed us how to carry an injured person and how to perform simple first aid.
Along with how to take their pulse and administer CPR.
I also took part in the exercise because I truly want to understand how to do it all so
that, in the event of an emergency, I may use the information I've learned from this
conference to help someone. Even though other students chose not to pay attention
and instead made chika with their friends and classmates, I chose to pay attention to the
speaker in front of us. We were interrupted in the middle of the afternoon because it
was pouring cats and dogs. However, by giving us information and putting it in our
minds, the trainers successfully carried out their duties.
The day went off without a hitch, and I enjoyed attending and taking part in the lecture.
It was really difficult to obtain a certificate of participation at that time because there
were so many students, so I did it before I left for home. I left for home at 5:00 p.m.
“EARTHQUAKE AND FIRE SAFETY PREVENTION”
AND
“HIV – AIDS SEMINAR”
NARATIVE REPORT:
It's Wednesday once more, so we're heading to a session called "EARTHQUAKE AND
FIRE SAFETY PREVENTION TRAINING." I woke up at precisely 7:00am and go to school's
Covered Court, where we would be holding today's seminar. I sat among my students
after finding them and writing my name in the attendance list. We were greeted warmly
by Mrs. Cionelyn de Jose. Due to the uniforms they are donning, I noted that there are
two individuals that resemble firefighters. And I was accurate. The trainers for today's
lecture were presented by Lyka Mar Ephan, a CWTS student.
I was intrigued by the trainers today since they are enjoyable to be around due of their
friendly energy, especially Mr. Duran. He's funny because he consistently cracks jokes,
no matter how corny they are. He explained the background of BFP while Mr. Zamora
instructed us on how to use a fire extinguisher and apply the PASS. He also covered the
three components of a fire: heat, fuel, and oxygen. Additionally, they showed how to
use a wet blanket to halt the spread of a fire.
While we waited for the trainers to arrive in the afternoon, some pupils performed for
us, particularly singing. We practiced how to react in the event of an earthquake. The 6
PHASES, which are the alert phase, response phase, evacuation phase, accounting
phase, report phase, and evaluation phase, were used to train everyone of us on what
to do.
The seminar was a success, but I was completely exhausted from the drills and activities
we did today. However, I had a good time because I came home with a lot of new
information about our seminar.
“SYMPOSIUM ON ANTI-ILLEGAL DRUGS”
AND
“SELF-DEFENSE TRAINING”
NARATIVE REPORT:
We're going to a seminar today called "SYMPOSIUM ON ANTI-ILLEGAL DRUGS AND SELF-
DEFENSE TRAINING," just like we do every Wednesday. I woke up early again took a
bath and went to school. And as is customary for me, I added my name to the list of
attendees and located my classmates to sit next to them. Cindy Duarte, a student at
CWTS, demonstrated her talent to us while we waited for the trainers to show up. Mr.
Andrew Rey Gorme extends his hearty welcomes to us.
I paid close attention to the lecturer during the seminar since, to be completely that
day , this seminar is all about us, the learners. I observed that several kids weren't
paying attention. The speaker does a great job of successfully communicating and
sharing the information to us. However, I was unable to complete the session since the
Red Cross offered us to take part in its first aid training instead. Before we left for home
after the aforementioned early seminar, I received my Certificate of Participation.
