The given diagram demonstrates the different stages involved
in the process of growing and preparing pineapples to
process into different products
Overall, it is obvious that there are several stages in the
process. Specifically, this process can be divided into two
main stages: the farming of pineapples and the processing of
the fruit that ends with turning into a drink, a canned food, or
an export.
Turning into details, pineapples are grown in the field with
the climate from 28 to 30 degree Celsius. After 7 months,
chemicals are sprayed on the plants before growing for an
additional 5 months. At this stage, pineapple are expected to
have 30 cm length and 2 kilograms in weight.
The process continues with the harvested pineapples being
washed prior to being categorized according to their sizes.
Once sorted, the smallest and medium-size pineapples have
their crown cut and their rinds peele. Following this, the
smallest pineapples are put into a extractor to make juice,
while the medium ones are cut into slices which are canned.
Meanwhile, the largest pineapples are simply watered in wax
and placed in crates before being shipped abroad.
